You're welcome if you don't PM I can let you know how things are going here which isn't far. I am an eternal optimist and believe things will be fine but also prepared because I am sure we will lose power.

I am hoping and praying for everyone to stay safe. My dad cut a big patch of grass from the far end of our property and put it in the garage so Callie will hopefully got potty on that during the storm. We don't have many big trees near our house but the one we just moved out of did and I am worried it might get damage and that we wont be able to get to it to know for a day or two.

We're as ready as we're going to be. We've got our lanterns, flashlights, batteries, radio, bottled water, and non-perishable food. Patio furniture is tied down or brought in and propane tank is full.

Both of DH's jobs are closed tomorrow, which is good because MTA has closed down all mass transit, buses, and subways starting now (at 7pm), so he wouldn't have been able to get into the city anyway. The school where I teach is closed tomorrow and Tuesday, so I will be glad to just hunker down here at home.

We're just not sure what to do with the dog. She will not potty inside...no matter what kind of contraption I fix up for her. We have had to take her out in blizzards, hurricanes, thunderstorms, hail, you name it, because she will only go outside. Any ideas?

Tibbe won't potty in the house or on the front or back porches or in the garage! It is grass for him or else! I guess you will just have to try to let her out in an lulls in the storm and she will likely hold it the rest of the time - that's what Tibbe does - he's gone 14 hours when it was raining really nonstop one day. I think he kept thinking it was like other times & before long the rain would stop but it didn't. But he'll hold it forever if it's raining. Finally, when he can't stand it anymore, even if it is pouring, he's got to go out and out he goes after a few fits & starts, coming back in, going around in circles, looking to me to "fix it". When he gets that I can't, he just slowsly walks out into the downpour. Once he's all wet, he'll stay out there forever if I don't make him come right back in. He's just drenched sometimes when he comes back in but a quick toweling and hair dryer and he's back in biz pretty quick, watching the rain again out the window, sometimes barking at it. I pray your little one gets a few lulls so she can go potty before she's too uncomfortable and you all and your property stay safe.

Just checking in. My DBF is driving me nuts. He is constantly watching the weather channel then go the computer to check the weather. Lmao

I decided I wasn't going to do that. We are prepared and I decided I would try to keep it a normal football Sunday (as much as I can lol). I could drive myself and my husband crazy but I am trying really hard:)

My husband says get what we need and it will be ok. Me on the other hand checked on hotels west of here that accept pets because I don't know if I can deal without power for more than a couple of days. I am totally laid back but the thought of total darkness at night really scares me (I fall asleep with the TV on). I pray everyone stays safe.
