Have all your babies emergency kits easily accessable...papers, health certificates, tags, leashes, halters on the babies with rabies tags affixed.....if anyones baby gets out for whatever reason, you want someone to be able to contact that they found your pup....food, medicine, water, carriers,.....etc...Humans, also be sure you have your Rx meds filled so you dont have to ge out stumbling around down power lines, flooded streams, getting your heart meds refilled! BE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR INSULIN FILLED TOO....Get cash in hand...ATMs do not work if the poser is out....gas pumps also do not work when the power is off, so fill cars up....run water in the bathtub for flushing toilets if necessary....you need a mop bucket on hand to do this... This is all I can think of right off hand....praying for all of y'all....they are saying this is going to be a true MONSTER....a hurricane WRAPPED inside a NOR'EASTER!!!! OMG!!! I can give advice on hurricanes, but I have no idea what a Nor'easter is!!!!!!!

We are getting the first part of the storm now and it is suppose to pass us by tomorrow afternoon. But as always people in FL just find hurricanes just another reason to have a party which works great since tomorrow is our annual World's Largest Cocktail Party here :)

My niece lives in West Palm I call her to check on her when a Hurricane is coming and he acts like I am crazy lol

Well we are as ready as i we are going to get, I have cash money, filled up the propane tank for the grill, got basic necesities, got plenty of dog food, and human caned food, gasoline for the generators and chips, lots of chocolate too.. ;) .. so let Sandy arrive..

We don't have to worry about hurricanes here in CA, but w/the Santa Ana winds right now, there's fire danger. Then there's talk about a big earthquake=/

Well our state declared a state of emergency today before the storm is even here. It took us 4 hours to get through 2 stores today it was crazy out there but we got food and some water. Now I need to find where Callie's carrier is in case we have to evacuate for some reason.

I'm in FL, its not bad...just windy. We haven't even had rain yet. I'm glad its finally cooling off. We had the windows open all day :)

Praying that all my friends will be safe. Every time there is a storm I pray it doesn't come my way....then feel really guilty when it lands somewhere else. I guess I have lived through my share so I know it will be a rough few days...
Please be safe and don't take any chances that are not needed.

Carmen, Taylor, and my fellow East Coasters, crossing fingers and paws that the worst of this storm will stay out to sea. I can hope, can't I? A tropical storm would be bad enough, but as long as it isn't a hurricane when it comes over top of us...

The only Sandy I want to know is MauiGirl. :)
