| What hobbies do you have that.... other people may think is work, but to you, it's relaxing?? I never put much thought into it until recently, but I've noticed a few things that totally take me to my "happy place" that, I'm not positive, but may not be everyones favorite. These things are: *Raking *Cleaning a pool (vacuuming the bottom & netting debris until its crystal clear) *Watching a fire - I can sit and watch a fire for hours totally entertained *Sanding - Totally relaxing for me *Gardening - I'm sure this goes for many people Not sure what it is, but these things can take my mind off just about anything. What things/hobbies do you have that relax you? Just an off topic thread for fun. |

♥Love My 3 Furrbutts♥ Donating Member | If I need to relax, I curl up with a cup of tea in front of the fire, with a real trashy novel...just finished all three 50 Shades of Grey!!

| Working in the yard! It relieves my stress. Of course, taking Kacee for a walk does the same thing.

| I absolutely love vacuuming . I also enjoy mowing the lawn. I guess it's because with the sound it's really just me and my thoughts. Plus I love seeing a fresh cut yard and cleaned vacuumed carpet

| I would say transposing sheet music. It's very tedious and there are computer programs to do it automatically, but nothing beats working out the flats and sharps and writing down the notes in a new way. A relative left me a vintage, leatherbound book of hand printed blank sheet music pages and I love to transpose my favorite songs in new, unexpected keys. Also, geocaching. Aka stomping around in the woods with a gps, through bushes and branches and leaves, sometimes getting completely lost, to find objects people hide outdoors.

| Lol that's me too! I vacuum 4 times a week! I also sweep the kitchen and hardwood floors too. It's not a chore for me I enjoy seeing the floors clean. My husband helps with everything around the house but he knows vacuuming is my thing lol

| LoL working with our dogs, walking training grooming. Yard work. I'm big on the enviroment we gave a new old fashioned push mower just eotating blades no gas or electricity, I LOVE it! We have all electric no gas yard tools like out weed wacker and chain saw too. Repurposing and restoring furniture. Coaching cheerleading, taking a break now just choreograph routines and cheers a bit still. Researching anything of personal interest. Remodeling or otherwise DIY stuff most pay others to do for them. If we could afford to and we plan to for ourselves in the future buy fix up and flip houses others won't touch. Recycling to a 5% waste average of all we consume. Steam cleaning...everything all the time!

I forgot to add, our lawn mower is the old fashioned kind a push mower with rotating blades. No gas or electricity used the neighbor laughed at me...I get a good work out, am helping the enviroment...he's paying $4.89 a gallon to do yard work, I'm laughing at him.
