you got it jaspersmom // alt/esc.... but sometimes i forget to use it and i use the darn mouse and it slower and thats how i got caught,, idiot that i am.

YES - clean your history - Temp Files AND Cookies -

you can do this the easy way by going to.... START then Accessories - SYSTEM TOOLS... then Disk Cleanup - Click drive c

or at the top of your explorer bar go to TOOLS - then INTERNET OPTIONS - then DELETE Files and Cookies

Manually is better though -

Hey Villette,

When you say "manually is better", do you mean the first option you gave - starting at Accessories is better than starting at Tools? Every day before leaving, I do the second one you said. Is that enough or does the first option do something different?

See, now we're all freaked out about getting caught!

And I tried the toggle thing (alt/esc) and it didn't do anything for me. I'm assuming you need to have another internet window open and ready to toggle to, right? Why doesn't mine do it? But even if I have another internet window up, at the bottom of my screen where it shows what I have open but reduced, there's that dang strip that says "YorkieTalk,com forum..." so if the boss looked closely overy my shoulder, he'd see that! I read somewhere once that there's a screen that looks like a fake spreadsheet that you can toggle to to make it look like you're actually working! But seriously, what can you tell me about the clean-up thing and toggle??

I was just reading all of your posts. I was laughing so hard I started choking. Why don't you all ask for a private office? Just kidding. My husband is online all the time, but he has his own office. I'm home all the time online. Sometimes in the evenings my hubby will ask me "Are you still on that yorkie site? What in the world could be that interesting?" He just doesn't understand the [B]Addiction[/B].

When I worked and was making cd's all the time for my kids...I would manually go into my WINDOWS folders - look for Temporary Internet Files...COOKIES & HISTORY

sometimes with a disk cleanup - they don't go away - it just depends on the computer -

If you don't know where these folders are - go to your START button - and SEARCH using those words (Temporary Internet Files & Cookies) ....your computer will find those folders and you can click into them and make sure they are empty.

LOL unless they have a TRACKING system on computers - many big companies do now and you can't escape their eyes

and remember - lots of computers have a Recycle bin that can pull out old files if deleted too - do you all have Norton programs on there by any chance ? the Recycle Bin on Norton Utilities can pull up practically anything if someone knows how to do it -

hehe - not to scare you - but the best thing is to clean your files and LOOK like you're working and GOOD LUCK - Trying to keep your history etc clean is a great start -
