| The wind is pretty high & has started blowing a neighbor's beach ball down the alley and Tibbe is barking his head off. Wouldn't you know the big orange ball is lodged for the moment right smack behind our house & my little Yorkie is giving throat to how he feels about it - for about 5 minutes now. There's quite a bit of lightening but no rain. He barks at lightening as well. He'd been barking at thunder before the ball showed up! Well, at least the sun isn't baking us any longer! It's really cooled down. The price? Nonstop barking. I'm so glad he feels well enough to do it, I'm letting him go at it. It's good to hear my little boy barking & telling the world how to act again. It's really good. ![]() ![]()

| Unbelievable! It is raining here and 77 degrees at D/FW Airport, which has been closed for a while due to the weather. 2 men were killed in Dallas as the weather moved in, a gust of wind blowing their crane down. Police are investigating a death at or near White Rock Lake now - from what they said, wondering if weather related.

| The heat is is horrible here too!....Over 100 degrees for days with very little rain. A couple of days ago we had this freak flash storm come through. The winds hit about 90 miles an hour. After the rain w drove to and that's when we saw the devastation. Huge, massive trees completely uprooted, roofs torn off homes and wire where down for days. Sadly, one guy died trying to roll up his windows on his car. A tree fell on him, he was only 35. I couldn't belive the devastation done to the town yet I was only one mile away and I just got a little rain.... I've been in the pool for three days. Even though I'm in water it's still not all that great, the water is bath water warm and the sun shining on us makes us feel like a piece of bacon in just a few minutes. I keep putting the boys in and walking them around in the water. They run around going crazy when I put them out. It must feel so refreshing to them.... Please rain!!!! ...And I don't mean a quick rain I want a nice steady rain for about three days!

Uh, oh, they are saying on the news that two men were seen being knocked into the water at White Rock Lake who were canoeing when the wind blew up & turned it over. When they fell out, both went under. That's 4 men killed today because of the wind in Dallas. No one said but I assume they were neither wearing life jackets. Guess it was too hot. One man was young a witness is saying. (there go my fonts enlarged because I ran Spellcheck)

| I'm right on the Missouri state line and it has been around 100 for weeks and no rain since June 21st when we had six-tenths. Yesterday we had 103 temp and three-tenths of an inch of rain. Just 25 miles south they had three inches. We are supposed to be cooler this week, but we desperately need rain!

| No rain here either..... from what I can see on the weather channel it has been "hit and miss" for peeps in Kentucky this morn. They are predicting cooler weather, but the heat advisory was suppose to end last night and now it has been extended...... and has anyone noticed the prices in the grocery stores already... YIKES!!! It don't look good!

| We had a 40% chance all day of rain. But I didn't see rain. It was 100% sunshine. Please rain come my way!

| This is why I tend to hibernate in the Summer and wish for October! These temps are killer, and my poor husband works out in it every day! ![]() Living where I do, this weather is the norm from May to early October. I really have a great deal of empathy for the rest of the country that is not used to these temps and that are not equipped for it! This is what it is like after a hurricane or devastating tornado (like last year's), and there is no electricity for AC or fans, not to mention refrigeration and ice! |

| And those patient living on some type of machine operated by batteries that have to be charged, etc. - it has been so hard on so many people. All those trees that fell are largely what seemed to start the process of taking the plants offline. We're hoping to have more rain in D/FW area today. There is rain all over Texas in spots EXCEPT right here. Seems to be parking before it gets to us & going around! But it is cool for us still today! I'm loving this! This time last summer, we were dying with the triple digits day after day.

| Yup, MD weather has been crazy too. I'm so done. Ready for fall now! LOL... We did have a great winter so it's hard to complain. But heat indexes of 115 are just... so not cool. I know it stayed above 100 for at least 7 days... probably more. It's supposed to be in the 80's this week but today felt pretty darn hot to me still. My car read 92. We did have a nice thunderstorm Sunday night.
