This heat is ridiculous This is our 5th day of 100+ temps ad extreme heat warings excetera. It is too hot and humid to even breathe and there doent look to be an end in site. I dont know how you our Texas members do it. I shouldnt complain because we had a wonderful winter but this is crazy for Indiana.. You know its hot when Florida is having a milder summer than you |
We have hit record highs in Arkansas. My area has had no rain. Fires pop up all the time because everything is dead. The humidity is terrible. So I understand completely. I'm sick of the heat too. :( |

I most certainly feel for you. It can be brutal for sure. Being from Texas and the heat we get here in the summer, has made me ask hubby can we buy us a Summer House in Alaska and then return to Texas for Fall, Winter and Spring. LOL We also need some rain about now. |
Yep, we've got crunchy grass, corn that is reaching to the sky as if to pray for rain and the pavement is so hot it's unbelievable! I ran barefoot across the street to our son's house yesterday and darned near burnt the bottom of my feet...I didn't even think about slipping my sandals on and man oh man was I glad to reach the shade in his yard! Took the direct route home instead of angling across the street...went from his shade to the road, the shade of our neighbor's yard and then to the shade on our driveway...my feet were pink and tingly for quite a while after that! And...even though I am grateful for the AC...I'm dreading the arrival of the electric bill after all this heat. |
I agree, the heat is crazy! We expect a high of 102F here today which is supposed to feel like 111! Thank God we are supposed to fall to the 80's for the next week. These 100's are killing me! I can't remember the last time is was cool enough to take the dogs for a walk! I'm so greatful they're tiny enough to chase a ball around the house for exercise! |

Be very careful. I received a post from another group today. A guy put his 3 senior Yorkies outside, went inside for 10-15 minutes and came back out to find 2 of the 3 DEAD. HEAT KILLS.... Louise |
I had mine out for a few minutes yesterday... they like to lie in the sun... they wouldn't come in so I went out to get them.... their black hair was so hot it almost burnt my hands! Their bodies were cool though.:eek: |

We finially got a break today. After a week of high 90's and 100's. The humidity is gone and windows are open. Hopefully it is on its way to all of you |
