I've grown up being the "Big sister" or the "older cousin" my whole life, so I've had plenty of kid experience. My youngest sister is 4 and my oldest brother would have been 12 this year (he passed in '06). My other brother (my dads son) is 8. I also have many young cousins who I spend time with etc. It's SOOO nice to be able to go home and hand them back to their parents, LOL. I also live with my 4 year old sister most of the time at my moms house and it's so much work, and she's not even mine, but she's always around of course.

I love having Jackson. He gives me just enough responsibility and nurturing and mothering stuff, but he's so much easier, hahaha. I really enjoy my time and a baby would completely change that. It's not that I'm selfish per say - I'm a homebody, I enjoy staying at home, or going out to dinner, and doing doggy things with Jackson. I'm responsible for my age, not a partyer, and mature. But still... kids... Ugh, God, I can't even imagine having a kid right now! Or even in the next 10 years, LOL.

I don't know, I like to think someday I will have 1 or 2 kids. I haven't written it off by any means. I'm still young though and in no hurry. Besides I need find a good guy first!

You sound a lot like me. I'm also not a party animal, and prefer doing things that I can involve Ziggy, or low key dinners so I can come home to my baby!

Funny though, my mom was babysitting Ziggy, which hardly ever happens, so anyway, when I came home she was omplaining that Ziggy is like a real baby, crying for me, then when he has "settled down" he wants his granma (my mom) to sit on the floor or sofa with him and just play and cuddle!lol She said she even had to crate him while she tidied up the house a bit Poor Ziggy IS my baby

I have to say I agree with you. Some people just shouldn't have kids. It is such a huge responsibility. Being a mom, you're raising adults who you are releasing intoo the world. I truly admire strong GOOD mothers. You sound like you are one of those.

Your family sounds VERY similar to mines. I have 4 children also. 2 boys and 2 girls.
My boys paddle canoe, MMA sports, football and my girls do Karate, cheerleading, gymnastics, tap and jazz. (They want to do more... I said to wait. lol)

I unfortunately don't have my mom here to help and my mil passed away 6 years ago. So we do it all by ourselves. But I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm also currently a licensed childcare provider. So on top of having my children home during the summer I also watch 6 other kids. All 3 and under! LOL They are all awesome though. If I have errands to run I will take them all with me. Having more kids to watch doesn't stop me but it does slow me down. lol
