Donating YT 500 Club Member | Has anyone read Les Miserables? I have never read this, but I'm interested. Over the weekend I saw the new movie trailer for it and it sparked an interest. The new movie looks amazing and I was wondering if I should attempt to try and read the book before seeing it. But, I heard it is not an easy read, rather a diffult read. Any thoughts?

| I haven't read the book but I have seen the musical performance back in high school. We sang it in choir and got a chance to go see it, it was awesome! I can not wait for the move to come out. I do have the book on my kindle but haven't had a chance to read it yet. |

| Some of the great literature is tough reading at times & frankly, to me, often boring - but oh, the drama & the characters & the fabulous stories' twists & turns are top notch usually, once you get past the draggy parts & often endless flow of consciousness. The greats were true to their characters - always loved that! I think we had to read Les Miz in high school but can't recall a thing about it if we did.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I can't recall if I read it or not...which means I may have started it, but maybe not finished. It's a great story though, about honor, perseverance, tragedy, futility of revenge. The 1998 move version, here, is wonderful...starring Liam Neeson, Uma Thurman, Geoffrey Rush, and Claire Danes. Loved it.

| I LOVE LES MIZ!!!! Cozy is short for Cosette. I have read the book several times & some of the movies including the 1998. I saw it on Broadway twice. I have also seen DVD's of stage performances my fave is the 25th Anniversity on with Nick Jonas in London's O2 center. I hope the new one stays closer to the book and/or play than the 1998 one with Claire Danes did. The trailer looks like it will
