				   | My parents still have an 8-track player with a record player in a big ol' fake fireplace thing with speakers lol. I think it belonged to my grandparents to begin with! Anyways, it sitll works, and when I was young (like 8-12) I would play my own tapes in it, because they had a cassette to 8-track converter... it was like a big 8-track but you could put a little cassette tape in it and stick it in the player lol.

				   | The 8-track tape itself was the size of 16 Ipods!

It was an automatic for starters, because I always get the "it's not the car, it's the driver" when I tell people about it. But it was an automatic, and if I drove for any more than about 30 minutes, it would start stalling at stop lights. We lived in a small town so it was pretty unreliable to drive to the city with it! I swear I had every piece of the engine replaced, and it would rarely stall for the mechanics!!! When I sold it, the guy buying it said he knew exactly what the problem was, but he didn't disclose it lol! I don't know, about 15 different mechanics also knew exactly what the problem was, and it never got fixed Oh well, I hope he had fun trying to figure it out lol!

				   | Here is my childhood.... Slap bracelets!!! slap_bracelets_72rct4c0g2o0cog8k08okkg48_6fglr3z5nhs8ogo0cs4kkwss0_th.jpg Polly Pocket, the old ones!!! I was so jealous of one girl especially who would come to school with at least 10 of these stuffed in her backpack for recess. I only ever had one... a vet one of course, because I wanted those little animals with it ![]() Old_Polly.jpg And finally - shirt clips!!! You know, because you'd wear long baggy shirts, and need some way to tie them up all stylishly! I have to admit my parents would not buy me shirt clips, so I did what the other kids did and tied it up with scrunchies lol. You know who DID get shirt clips? That girl with all the Polly Pockets!! 63105F.jpg

				   | Oh, I did! Sprayed each rat at the base & used a very fine tooth comb. She had so much hair it took an hour. Then got it all brushed, pinned up, & sprayed to a faretheewell, inserted a jeweled comb & she & her husband went out for the evening. That was when BIG hair was really big in Dallas! Then, she said she could hardly get her head on the pillow that night for her hair sticking all out in back! Said her head wouldn't go flat on the pillow! lol! So she started trying to comb in out the next morning - and with her thick, thick hair & my expert "rat" job, she was 3 days getting it all out!!! She asked me to do it - so I really did it.
