| 5 Things about me, I don't know how interesting it is. Last Monday I celebrated my 24th anniversay with my dh. We went bass fishing on a watershed leased pond. It's so much fun when the fish are biting. This was the sunset that evening... SUNSET3.jpg I have an associates degree in applied science for horse production. I spent a few years in a few foaling barns being a midwife for mares before coming back to Kansas to marry my DH. Long story. I am a loner and love time to myself. I have found a new love in photography and enjoy spending my time traveling unmaintained roads with Moka and Mylee photographing what Kansas has to offer. When I was a kid, I started one of our old unused barns on fire by playing with fire from the trash. (back then, in the country we burned our own trash in barrels) I didn't know manure would burn. When my mom called me for dinner, I quickly burried the burning stick with dry manure from the lot and ran off to dinner. A few minutes later we looked out to see it on fire. My mom still thinks the wind blew the burning trash over there and started it. Someday, I'd love to write a book.

| You did a great job! We are trying to restore the house back to what it was in 1912, but we are putting our own touches on it... We are going for historically accurate, but aren't being super sticklers about it. We are updating the wiring, have a brand new furnace/ac, new electrical panel, but are trying to make it look historic...

1- I'm one of the younger yorkietalkers here at only 22 (23 in a month and a half!) 2- I just moved a fabulous new apartment in Connecticut last weekend with my boyfriend, Bentley, and our tabby cat Olivia. It's an old mill turned apartment complex and it is BEAUTIFUL. 3- I love, love, love all things artsy specifically music and photography. 4- I have an unhealthy obsession with high-end makeup/skincare/beauty-related products. If my extra spending money isn't going to new stuff for Bentley, it's absolutely going to that habit. 5- I went to college for psychology, but somehow ended up with an office job as a project engineer! Go figure XD

Thor's Human Donating Member | Hm, fascinating me: 1. I'm 38. I grew up in LA, went to school in Boston, lived in New York for a long time, then moved to SF a while back. I still really miss New York. 2. I tend to go to extremes. I tend to have one obsessive interest at a time - yoga, cooking, work project, dog body language - and it's very hard for me to break away from it and do normal life stuff. 3. I work way too much. I have been struggling with this since I moved to San Francisco (and switched jobs), and have made some limited progress on balance. I definitely am attached to my job with golden handcuffs. 4. I am always struggling to do better and be better. In some ways that's good as it keeps me curious and learning, but I think it also stems from not being happy with myself the way I am. I am trying to change this too. 5. I am something of a movie buff. I've been working for years to find a movie that perfectly encapsulates the state it takes place in. I was really happy to see 'The Descendents' and finally get Hawaii squared away. 6. I love YT!

| It was so interesting reading up on everyone! lol Here's 5 about me...I'm not that interesting though. 1. I'm a Carolina Girl!!!I moved, this past November, to Texas to live with my HS sweetheart! But..I grew up in Myrtle Beach, SC! I loved saying "I live where you vacation " I miss EVERYTHING about the east coast. I lived in a beach house. My backyard was the ocean. I miss it so much... 2. I'm only 20 years old! I was 19 when I joined YT and posted that I wanted a yorkie...and not everyone took too well to a teenager wanting a yorkie Totally understandable, but I was determined to prove everyone wrong! 3. I was a vegan from 6th grade up til last summer. Now I'm not even a vegetarian anymore. I felt bad for the longest time, but it's such a primal, natural thing to want to do...I was weak! Animal welfare is still SO important to me, and I feel like a hypocrite, but..c'est la vie. 4. I miss performing. All throughout school I was involved in musicals, plays, show choir, concert choir, took jazz, ballet, and lyrical dance, played piano, and took voice lessons. I actually went to college to major in Music Education. I planned on being an elementary music teacher. It didn't work out though...it was too hard. I finished my first year and then didn't go back in the fall. When I went to college for music, it drained my love and passion for performing, and I hated it. I absolutely loathed singing and dancing, and it was all wrong...so I've decided when I do go back to school, I'm going to be a vet tech or something similar. I want to help animals. 5. I was in a long-distance relationship for two years. I started dating my boyfriend in 10th grade. He was a year older, and when he graduated he got a full scholarship to a college...in Texas. He left and I stayed behind, but after last year I decided I needed to be with him, so I left my whole family and ALL my friends, to follow my heart. Now I'm happy and where I'm supposed to be I love him so much and I feel so blessed to have found the person I absolutely will be with from now until my last day on earth. Oh, and our four year anniversary is in three days!!!

| Love this thread 5 Things About Me: First off I am a homemaker (with no skin kids) and recently discovered that I'm not digging it all that much. I have many aspirations that are still unfulfilled. I have many hobbies but most of all I'm an enthusiastic learner and like to apply my knowledge to perfect certain skills. I'm a dog lover to the very end! owned by both a yorkie and maltese. People tell me I look in my 20's but those days are gone You can usually find me in the fashion forum or off topic games when I'm not in a GE I also go emoticon happy in most threads |

| 5 Things About Me: 1. I work in as a Product Brand Manager. Wonderful job, have been doing it for almost 30 years. Currently I work from home full time and travel for my job approximately 1 week a month. 2. I was born and raised in Michigan but now live in Georgia with stops in Kentucky and Texas along the way. 3. I have no skin kids, all my kid have fur. I like children and usually they like me but I just never felt the need to have children (try explaining that to people). 4. My hobbies are working out, reading and gardening. This is my first year of gardening in a plot (not a containers). So far I am enjoying it, but lets see in August when it is 200 degress in Georgia. 5. I am a very direct person but also a very quiet person (if that make sense). You be assured if I speak up on a subject I am going to tell exactly how I feel. I am also very tenacious, I never give up and I definetly "march to my own beat" (always have, never felt peer pressure or if I did I was not aware of it).

| Hello everybody! Hope you don't mind if a UK-er joins in? 1. I was born in the centre of London, we moved to 'the suburbs' when I was 8 when it got too busy! My heart lies in Cornwall though - lived there for 3 years in my late teens/early 20's. 2. I've 2 children - Simon (31) who lives in Vienna with his architect girlfriend. Simon is the IT consultant for the United Nations there. My daughter Anna is 28 and lives about 3 miles away from us - she's a Cost Draughtswoman for a company of solicitors. 3. I was married previously (to my children's father!! ) we divorced in 1993 and I met Andy in 2000 - thank goodness! Andy is 12 or 13 years younger than me (depending on the time of year!!! ) 4. Took all my secretarial exams, but then qualified as a children's Nanny. Gave it all up about 18 months ago to care for my elderly parents...they're worth every moment. 5. We're saving to buy an elderly VW camper van which we'll restore to within an inch of it's life, take a year out (ONE day!!!) and tour wherever our hearts take us like a pair of ageing hippies (well, at least I will be tee hee! ) Oh, and a boat, too....dream on, Sally.... | This is a great thread! 1. I am almost 28 (already???) and I live in a small town in the prairies I have lived in Canada my whole life. 2. Growing up, I ALWAYS wanted to be a vet. When it came time to go to school, however, I went a different direction and I am now a civil designer for an engineering consultant, in the urban land development department. I design roads, piping, and lots for new residential subdivisions in my city and other towns and cities around the province. It's nerdy but I really enjoy it! I'm also glad I did not become a vet. I am way too soft-hearted and I don't think I could always go with an owner's wish to have an animal put down, when I know that it could recover or is still happy or whatever. Having a very happy paraplegic puppy myself, I cry when I read online about someone putting down their dog because it loses use of a limb 3. I am so emotional!! I don't know where it came from because I never used to cry, but lately it's all I do! I cry at happy things. I cry at sad things. I cry almost every night I watch tv. I just watched the season finale of Mike and Molly and I bawled when they got married. So did my fiance lol! 4. I am getting married in 7 weeks! My fiance and I have been together for over 3 years and we live in our dream house, a 1916-ish farmhouse which was previously all fixed up. Now we're getting married and eventually we'll fill it with kids I understand kids aren't for everyone, but they are for us! 5. I LOVE to travel. It is my passion. My fiance proposed last year in Capri, Italy, and we are going back there for our honeymoon We traveled together through Europe, and I have taken many trips around Canada and the US. We sometimes go somewhere warm like Mexico in the winter. Right now we're saving up for Australia and New Zealand! But no matter how much I travel, I always get homesick! I'm a small town prairie girl at heart. When I'm in a big city or the mountains, I yearn to be able to see miles and miles like I can at home!

| Linz06- Best wishes on your upcoming wedding. Please post pictures for us to see! Ok- Let me give this a try. I am 53. I have 4 grown skin kids, three fur kids and two adorable grand children. I love being a Nana! I too love to travel. I've been blessed to be able to go to some pretty exotic locations, including a spit of an island in the middle of the South Pacific, where hubby and I were welcomed and entertained by the village chief and his tribe in his ceremonial hut. I've been an advanced certified scuba diver for the last 12 years. I love taking underwater photographs, hence the exotic locations. I regularly get the chance to swim with dolphins, sharks, rays, turtles and manatees. I am not afraid of sharks (except great whites, and we don't dive with them ). Below is a picture. I do interior design for model homes. It's fun to decorate fantasy homes for my imaginary families. They always like my work, they don't keep much in their closets, and boy, are they neat and tidy! Their home always looks like no one lives there. I have one of the largest Fontanini nativity collections in the world. I've been a collector for 33 years, and every year my display grows and expands a little bit. It's very similar to a Christmas train garden in size and scale, except that it depicts all of Bethlehem town. There are thousands and thousands of miniature, doll house size pieces, and it takes a large construction crew, several days to assemble the display each year. The best part is that I've been able to share my passion with thousands of people each year. Below is a picture.
