Do you feel the need to 'Get Ready' when you Skype?!!

I "put my face on" (make-up), fix my hair and tidy the space if I know I am going to be skyping. If someone skypes me unexpectedly and I am not prepared to be seen, I just answer without video and blame my poor Internet connection.

I do the same thing when using FaceTime with my boyfriend, who knows exactly what I look like and has already seen me at my worst, so it's not like I could shock him.

Have just realised that i'm not completely nuts.... lol...
Dad lives in Italy and mum in Brazil, so we practically communicates only via Skype and FaceTime, as they can see the grandson weekly in that way..

And as i know what time they will call, i always change from pjs to clothes, even if its sunday morning, and i would probably be on it until 12ish, when i would go out to walk Bella..

Do my hair up, and at least apply some concealer in my under eyes.. lol..

If they call me earlier than what i was expecting, if not "presentable" i have to miss the call and apologise afterwards...

Hubby thinks I'm completely nuts.. but I'm obviously not, or we are a big group !!

I hear what you folks are saying! My son is in the military, and usually in some time zone that is far removed from mine - so it is always one of this middle of the night or crack of dawn things when he wakes me up! I always wonder how "scary" I look. Some times I hardly remember the call it is such a strange time. But......I live for those Skype sessions

Hahaha... When Ryan was gone for a year we have the camera's on our 55 inch TV's so he would see the entire living room so I had to make sure the room was leaned I was dressed with makeup and Guinness was brushed.

I only do one thing to prepare for Skype:

Wear a modest top (that has full coverage of cleavage)

When I skype, I tend to lean forward towards the monitor and camera. When that happens, the other person can practically see down my shirt. That's embarrassing. I make sure my top covers everything, or button up higher on my shirt.

I know the feeling when I was living abroad my mom would skype me around 6pm local time but for me it was already 1:00am! I would sit with my pj bottoms and a nice shirt! Just because she always had people over and do that look who is at the house and wants to say hi!

When I would skype with my grandma I had to clean up for hours to make everything impeccable, do my hair, make-up, and paint my nails. (She is that old fashioned grandma that screams at me that no man would ever marry someone that has a messy house or appearance )
