2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | I just set up a humming bird feeder hoping to get a glimps of one. I have never seen one, ever in person that is. I need to get some red flowers to entice them to want to come for a visit!

| We used to have hummingbirds all the time in the Dallas area but I haven't seen one for 2 years. My mother had large gardens so we saw more than one frequently when I was a child. I remember one green one that just shimmered in the sun. It was gorgeous. Somehow when I was a child I used to think they were fairies.

| I have hundreds of Hummingbirds in my back yard when they start migrating...I think they are absolutely magical!!! I had 2 of the males fighting one time, and one got knocked to the ground with a broken wing....I took that tiny little soul and I set that wing bone with surgical glue, and put that baby in a bird cage in my house, and kept him for almost 8 months...when he could fly around in that parrot cage with no problems, I let him go when they migrated back through Houston.... |

| I have this forwarded to my work computer....my lunchbreak yesterday was 30 minutes of peacefully drinking my V-8 juice, eating my yougart, and watching this hummingbird cam.....I was so relaxed and rejuvinated after my 30 minuteof "quiet time" with Mother Nature, I wanted to crawl under my desk and nap! THANKS BONDAI FOR THIS WONDERFUL, PEACEFUL, LITTLE DIVERSION!!! (But I am going to just DIE if one of those darling babies falls out of that nest!!!!!) |

| No!!! Somebody actually witnessed it? How horrible! They had grown just since I'd been watching. Those poor little things - they were totally vulnerable. That is so so so sad. I watch the day it rained and they spent a lot of time with their little beaks turned up into the rain getting good drinks. Even momma sat on the nest and upturned her beak. And the sound of the rain and the gentle other sounds of nature were so soothing that day. I'd hope to watch them leave that nest on the wing one day but surely didn't expect to hear this. Devastating news.

| They don't know what type of bird it was, but the babies are gone. One of the babies was getting ready to fledge this week- so it is really sad that this happened. Mr P (owner of the house where the nest is) replaced the Cam. Phoebe has been around, we are hoping she makes a new nest!!

| We have a little humming bird that comes back every year to the same small bush to build a nest and raise her young. At least we think it's the same bird because it's exactly the same size and color.
