We used to have hummingbirds all the time in the Dallas area but I haven't seen one for 2 years. My mother had large gardens so we saw more than one frequently when I was a child. I remember one green one that just shimmered in the sun. It was gorgeous. Somehow when I was a child I used to think they were fairies.
