| Help!!! Last night there was the strong odor of a skunk outside our house. We figured it was in the woods next to the house....well it wasn't!! The @#$#@% THING is under the house in the crawl space. We found a little space under the heat pump where we think it got in there and have set a live trap. I am scared senseless!! Bogie loves to play ball and he is whining and I am afraid to throw the ball and have him running and jumping, what if he riles it up and it sprays (must have sprayed last night because when the heat comes on you can smell it faintly). I am also scared if the @#$#@% thing chews through the duct work...it could get in the house Has anyone ever had this happen??? OMG I am freaking out right now. I am tempted to pack a bag and take Jada and Bogie and go stay at our house on our other farm till the darned thing is trapped. I am also afraid to leave them here when I go to work in the morning..what if it does get into the duct work and gets in the house...I think I am gonna cry.

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | We have skunks in our neighborhood also. Smelt one just last night... god awful smell! See if you can put some moth balls under where you think it may have gotten in at. Not too many because the smell of them can cause upset with your pups. But just enough to get rid of the skunk. It worked with the bunnies we had under our shed.

Max Main's Mamma Donating YT Member | Ewwwwwee. Nasty little skunk. He's probably afraid and wouldn't bother you or your babies. I am not sure what it could do to your house. Do you have any PTO you could use so you could get someone out there asap? If you have a man in your life, you could try craigslist for an emergency pest control person to come out now. I would totally be freakin' out too. Get that little @#&*@$! out of there! LOL

| I don't think it can get into the duct work of the house since it should be all closed. I'm with you I'd be O.U.T. O.F. T.H.E.R.E!

| If it isn't out by tomorrow afternoon...then we are!!! I am such a wimp though...DH had been gone until a little bit ago and I had Jada and Bogie on the couch with me...he kinda laughed because I wouldn't let Bogie bark at all..me I don't think it is so funny. I am just glad we have hepa air purifiers in the bedrooms and living room...we all have allergies. I have them all on full force so the smell is almost gone. We think the rains last night or a stray cat must have scared it and it sprayed just outside the house. If it had sprayed in the crawl space I am sure the stench would be unbearable.

| I don't blame you Michelle for being upset, and I would call out the National Guard. I agree with Jodi that I don't think you need to worry about the stinky pest getting into your ducts or into your house. I hope you can get him out without getting skunked.

| Oh lord no I would not let him out there...I wouldn't even let him off the couch to run and bark after his ball in the house, for fear of scaring the skunk into spraying under there again, no way is my baby boy going outside where that evil stinky thing is

| Oh I won't get skunked Kristin...I am leaving the removal (if we are lucky and the live trap works) up to DH. I told him if he gets sprayed he can go stay at the house on the farm until the scent wears off
