See if you can put some moth balls under where you think it may have gotten in at. Not too many because the smell of them can cause upset with your pups. But just enough to get rid of the skunk. It worked with the bunnies we had under our shed. | You all are cracking me up.... but I still think that if you want them to leave your best bet it so try the moth balls.
Do you have the trap set up in a way that he can come out of the hole and than into the trap? If not that may be what is stopping him from leaving.
See if there is some way to surround the hole and the trap (bait the trap). or you could try to remove the trap, put moth balls in the hole and replace the earth. That way you can tell if he as entered the hole or has left the hole. Than plug it up once you know he has left. Remember they are nocturnal.. so he will most likely sleep during the day and make his exit at night. That is when you will want to check to see if the earth has been disturbed. |
