I feel for you.:( |
Could it be a female in heat? My friend had this happen to her a couple of years in a row... I cannot for the life of me remember what they did to get rid of it though. Good luck! |
My aunt said they had problems with skunks and they called animal control and they brought out some cages and they caught them. I would be scared too, mostly for your babies because those things carry rabies. |
I had a nice little experience with a skunk in my garage. OMG it is horrible! My beagle trapped it in the garage and barked and barked and barked. And it sprayed and sprayed and sprayed. The old tale about them only being able to spray once is a big fat LIE! I think that stupid thing sprayed 100 times. And yes, the house smelt horrible. We had tears from the odor. Anyway, I happened to be alone without DH so called my daddy at 1:00 am to save the day. He tried to kill it but no luck. Needless to say, the beagle finished it off. And left the body in my garage. It took days to get the smell out. So here is my answer Michelle. Get a beagle! :) Ha ha. Ok, no seriously. I hope it goes on its merry little way and you don't have to deal with it much longer. |

There ain't nuttin cuter than a baby skunk. :D Let her stay and raise a family! |
Michelle, I had a bird fly into my living room and I was just as scared as you! The bird died, and we disposed of it. Maybe you will have the same good luck with your skunk. |
Well either the smell is dissipating or we are getting used to it:( and we are just hoping that it was scared under the house, sprayed and then left. Ain't no way we are getting under the house to look:eek: I am thinking it is not still under there. Wouldn't Jada and Bogie be going bonkers if it was under the house, smelling at the vents or barking. They don't act like anything is out of the ordinary. |

I hope your critter really is gone by now. |

I have the perfect solution! Instead of hiring an exterminator or critter control guy, have Cathy come for a visit. She can say "shoo" to the skunk and scare it to death like she did the bird. :D |
Michelle you have been given such wonderful advice! Mating season, baby skunk pets, guns, traps, and just moving out! Whatever would you do without all of your YT friends and our support  But I do think the best advice given was to call in the bird whisperer. I hear she has been working on her skunk shooing.............. :p |
How about throwing some human hair under there...My Mom does this to keep rodents ..ie...chipmunk, squirrels..etc out of her garden....go the a hair dresser and ask them for some.. |
