Tornadoes strike Midwest.....

Storm hit our area at 11:00 pm last night. DH was asleep and snoring Jada and Bogie and Max the cat and I were in the hall with blankets and pillows and my cell and laptop. The satellite went out so I kept the laptop on the radar. It was scary, but I think the worst was a little south of us, just by about 1/4 mile. On my way to work there were lots of barns and houses with roof damage and trees debris all over the road.
It could have been a lot worse. I don't know how people who live in tornado alley stand the stress. I was scared senseless.

So glad you all are ok Michelle! We have rough springs here. The tornadoes scare me to death. When we built our last house my DH put in a storm room for me. When the warnings come out that is where I am at. Me and my oldest son along with Mikki and Rosie! I hate them and feel so sorry for anyone affected by their terror.

I live about 10 miles from where the storm wiped out a couple of towns. Husband is loading up to go assist with the clean up. it is very sad!

You are just like me! Those sirens go off and I freak. DH and skin son are looking out the window like future storm chasers........I'm usually in hiding!

I know it hit MO the other day.....bounced right over us and hit the other states next to us. We had sirens, hail, and winds yesterday, but no damage.

I am hoping everyone is ok!!!!

I freak here at home! Dh and my son were in the back of his truck last time calling me on the cell phone and making fun of me. I told them it wouldn't be funny if something really happened. But I am a teacher and when we have to go to the storm shelter I have to be the calm one. I will be honest it is hard. Last time we had a "close call" one student was in the shelter crying so hard. I felt so sorry for her because I understand exactly how she feels. I went over and told her stories about me being scared and it made her laugh. But deep down I wanted to cry too.

It breaks my heart to see all the destruction on the news. I am so sad for everyone involved. Praying all are ok.

Storm was bad here along the IN /KY border but we did fine. Really high winds. Will never see those garbage cans again! 18 miles up the rad they got slammed- all the school destroyed and most of the town. Cali did not like the sirens

Is he headed for Henryville? I took some medication up there last night. They've got some real problems up there. Breaks your heart. Thankfully there were some smart, sharp people at the schools there and bus drivers that used their heads.
