| Brit, I love the poster! What is the website listed at the bottom? I can't quite make it out. As Gemy indicated too, we have to be mindful of doggy language. The way we often physically communicate as humans is considered aggressive to dogs. Going eye to eye, nose to nose, even in a loving way, is considered aggressive to the dog. I made the mistake of locking eyes with a Yorkie competing at a show (I was really studying how the facial hair is combed/parted around the eyes). The dog's owner corrected me right away.

| There is a follow up Video going around now, I will see if I can find it. I blame both the news Anchor and the dog owner. More so, the dog owner. It is his job to protect his dog and it is his job to watch his dog for stress and remove his dog from a situation that is making his dog uncomfortable. He should have never allowed anyone to get in his dogs face. When I am out with my Rottweiler I get tons of people that want to pet her. I show them the correct way to "meet" her. I always watch Adria for stress (ear carriage, her eyes, panting, etc.) if I ever saw her under stress I would remove her from the situation before it esculated to the point that she thought she had to protect herself. Usually though, as soon as someone starts to pet Adria, she rolls over so they can pet her belly...she is a very modest girl. |

| That is a cute poster! I commend her too, because not only didn't she jump to say put the dog to sleep! She wanted the dog out of quarantine and back with his family! She believes it was a terrible accident. Now that's a wonderful woman! How many women on TV do you think would do that? I don't very many!!! They'd want to send the pup to the "chair!" This was a great lesson for everyone, not just her! Quote:

| Clearly not the dog's fault. Saw the anchor yesterday on TV & she's doing well.
