| So excited dog walk Me, My Husband and My daughter are really into doing the different organized runs/walks together right now but since we have started we have been looking for one we could do with our yorkies. We found one by Butler college that is going to take place the 3rd week of March so we are so excited. We registered for it today. Im gonna have little runner shirts custom made for Chachi and Jewels to wear so they are going to be styling. I gotta get them groomed also. It is just a 1 mile walk but I think it will be fun to do with other dog owners and the area its in is a dog friendly type of place so Im sure there will be plenty. Has anyone else ever did an organized dog walk? We get tshirts and a headband for doing it. A week before we are doing a ST Patricks day run/walk that will be fun but we dont get to take the dogs. Im really excited about the dog walk though because we are looking for little special things we can do with our dogs this spring and summer. We may even take them to Florida with us tthis year

| I love doing things with Jackson. I don't think I'd do a walk/run if he couldn't be a part of it, LOL. I'd feel too guilty. We do one at one of our state parks where the dog park is located and it's in May, I think, every year. We've gone twice and it's fun, it's for our local SPCA. We have a walkathon for my little brother's foundation and dogs are always welcome. I love finding places where dogs are allowed to come too! I've taken Jackson to downtown Annapolis a few times now and he loves that. He loves Gettysburg too in the summer, and visiting Harper's Ferry and the Shenandoah River. He has gone camping a few times too in my dads RV. He pretty much goes with the flow and loves going anywhere I am, so I enjoy being able to bring him. Hoping to bring him to DC one day.

| Those walks sound like lots of fun. The dog walk would be fun and your yorkies will look so cute in runners shirts.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | We did the PetsMart Petwalk a few years ago, and it was AWESOME! It was such a fun/happy day - seeing hundreds of dogs, all types and all sizes. Some w/ clothes, some without. Little and big. Short hair and long. SO CUTE. It kinda fills your heart up...that's the best part of it . You'll laugh a lot . Is this a charity walk, where each walker has sponsors? If so, let me know...I'd give a 'lil sumpthin'.

| Whenever there is a local parade in some town here, usually the humane society is is involved and people can come walk in the parade and walk their dogs. I took my boys to walk in the Christmas parade one year and it was soooo brutally cold that I couldn't make them walk, they would have froze! I did see an adorable chihuahua all bundled up and walking very proudly though! I wondered how he was able to walk a mile in that weather when my boys couldn't!
