| Preoccupied & misplacing items My father was looking for his favorite spatula. He accused me of accidentally throwing it in the trash (I am the opposite of a pack rat and have a tendency to throw things away unconsciously). I found the spatula in the drawer by the sink with the dish scrubber wands and SOS pads. That is a good place for it. What is the funniest place you have put something? Milk in the cabinet? Cereal in the refrigerator?

| I've found ZoE's leash and contact lense solution in the fridge this month and I'm the only one at home as both my kids are back at college, so I know it was me, but I swear I don't remember putting either one in there.

| This didn't happen to me but my friend. We worked together and she was frantic because she could not find her car keys. We looked every where. I found them in the icebox! I still give her a hard time about this!!

| I'm still looking for my other wallet. I'll let you know where I found it, if I ever do.

| I lost an iPhone 4 in November. Let me know if you find it. For all I know, I stuck it in the mail and sent it somewhere. That was an expensive loss. I'm seriously the queen of losing things. When and if they turn back up (and they are usually never seen or heard from again), I swear they are never where I left them! When I unpacked my fake Christmas tree in December, I found a hair dryer in the box with it. I apparently also like to stash things in my bathtub. I think I just get really distracted really easily.

| I have done that with my eyeglasses many times, but I think you have me beat in the funny department with the phone!

| Thankfully, I have never lost my wallet because I am OCD about checking 300 times that purse, wallet, and contents are all together where they should be.

| I have done this many times, but always caught myself. I think it is the routine things of daily life that cause the brain to shut off. Almost all of my unconscious mistakes occur in the kitchen. I should stay out of there. Our coffee bean container is almost identical to the kibble container, and I have come close to grinding kibble to make coffee when both containers were on the counter at the same time.

| I've done the milk in the pantry (as a child & got in trouble for wasting a whole gallon!). PB in the fridge as well. I'm also guilty of holding my phone & saying where in the heck is it!? There's also nothing like getting up to search the living room for the remote only to find it's right next to where I was sitting. At work I know I drive them crazy. I'm constantly rearranging/sorting things & throwing them away as I see fit. Without a doubt the one time my manager asks me where "X" is it is in the garbage.

My aunt (who I'm usually talking to when I have this panic) has given up on me, cause she'll ask what I'm freaking out about, and then I'll realized that I'm on the phone I can't find.
