| So.... I got an email from 'ourweddindday.com' kindly reminding me that our wedding is 2 months and 1 week away!! Eeeekkkkkk. As you can imagine just about everything is done! My dress is at my house, first fitting is feb 16, bridesmaid dresses are here, color is Sangria. Wedding colors are the red wine colors ...from deep purple to deep burgundy. Invitations went out last week, getting the RSVPs back now. We had all our final vendor appointments and finalized the menu with the hall. We wrote our ceremony, and got our VIP readers committed. The only major thing left is getting the rehearsal dinner date and menu finalized and send those invitations. We also need to finish the favors and centerpieces.

| Thanks for the congrats Quote:
What did you decide for a menu? We are doing a buffet but we're deciding between two options. One includes BBQ chicken and roast beef, which is pretty standard at any wedding. Our other choice includes BBQ pork back ribs, honey garlic roasted chicken, and pan fried pickerel fillets with herb citrus butter. I think the second one is a little more adventurous since most weddings have chicken and beef, but then I've been told to just stick with what people will expect. My MOH does not eat pork, but she still would have chicken or fish to eat.

| My Dress Here are some pictures of my dress My MOH took these when we went bridesmaid dress shopping, and I decided to try on the sample again to show them. It is a couple of sizes too big, and I will be removing the flower (it is just safety pinned on) and probably adding a beaded belt. It's more "me" than with the flower! By the way, I went shopping thinking I would come out with a mermaid style or other slim-fitting gown. This ended up being the one lol! It just felt a little more fun and more comfortable! Please ignore the flat hair

| Linz, your dress is STUNNING!!!! I will attach some pics of my gown..not on me because I don't have any with it on me. But I love it! Mine is in all white though! Even the sash that looks colored in the pic, is white. Our menu has 4 passed hors d'oeuvres, shrimp cocktail, tiny grilled ham & cheese sandwiches, bruschetta and cranberry, almond salad in an endive cup. Then a stationary display of fruit, cheese, crackers and baguette. Our main meal is either a Chicken breast stuffed with Ricotta, spinach and fire roasted red peppers, or slow roasted dijon crusted pork loin, or vegetarian portabello spinach lasagna with fresh ricotta, basil and tomatoes. All sound soooo yummy to me! Here is the front & back of my gown on the model! My bouquet and my bridesmaid bouquets (roughly) My bouquet is being sprayed a deep purple, the actual roses are a very light purple, but the color when done will be dark purple. It takes away the beautiful rose smell, but it gives me the look I want.

| Oh my gosh I LOVE your dress! I had looked at some like that too, except everything I found was strapless. I actually did not really want strapless to begin with, but I do love mine now. I really love the lace on your dress! It looks very classic! Your menu is making me salivate!!! I love your flowers too! When they spray them, does the color stay on the flowers well? Like it won't rub off? I hope my bouquets turn out like this... Oh and here's the inspiration board I fell in love with, which decided my wedding colors

Your bouquet is very similar to mine too, I love it! The purple spray on my roses will make my roses dark purple and it will stay on them until they die!

That sounds like a great idea for your roses! I remember watching I think it was Rich Bride, Poor Bride, and they were spraying some flowers blue, and it got all over their hands and all over everything! But it was just a DIY job and I don't think they used the right stuff for it. So that's why I asked! I am sure yours will turn out wonderful!

| linz and celstu, your dresses are fabulous! I really like your colours, too. We are now looking at having our ceremony in a local heritage house (1920s), then reception in our home. It's been snowing so bad here I haven't been able to look for a dress or do any real planning My fiance and I are going to check out the heritage house this afternoon. The colours we're going with are a dusty, dark purple with pink and ivory. We're going to the Seattle Premium Outlet store on the weekend, weather permitting, so hopefully we can also check out some Washington bridal stores, too. Seems like they're getting hit pretty bad with snow today!
