| Does anyone here own a Prius? I've been thinking about buying one but I don't know much about them. If you own one, or have a family member or friend who does, can you tell me what you know about them? |

| Did you buy new or used? I'm thinking of buying used to see if I like it...then maybe buying new later. I heard the batteries wear out at some point and have to be replaced and they are expensive. Do you know about that? |

| My neighbor has a Prius, she LOVES IT. I will tell you that is the quietest car I have ever heard, she said that she is always slowing down for squirrels and other critters who are in the road and do not hear her car.

| One thing I've wondered about is...what does it do to your electric bill at home...because you plug it in like you would a golf cart, right? Are you paying out as much in the extra electricity as you would for gas? What about safety and airbags? |

| My brother in law had one and loved it! He doesnt have it now only because they were transferred to Paris, France for 3 years and it made more sense to sell it. My kids nicknamed it the " kitten car" because it's so quiet and it kinda purrs like a little kitten. I think you would be happy with it if you decide to buy one. |

| One of my best friends has a 2008 Prius and likes it but doesn't love it. Her biggest complaint is lack of ooomph..its slow to take off. She had a Cadillac CTS prior though, so probably a big step down in power.

| Is funny how many peeps have been scammed into thinking that the Prius is an enviro friendly car. Is the Toyota Prius battery bad for the environment The Prius Bad for the Environment? You might feel better driving a hybrid, but you won't necessarily be greener." That's because each Prius consumes the equivalent of 1,000 gallons of fuel before its odometer clicks to 1. As we saw above, this is due to the manufacturing and shipping costs associated with the Prius. So while the Prius may not be worse for the environment than a Hummer is, it certainly would be given a run for its money when put head-to-head with a used car with reasonable fuel economy |
