| How many jobs do YOU have? I am finding it increasingly difficult to hold down my four jobs. Yes, four. But I also really need the money to make the mortgage payments on our first house (YAY). I know it isn't unusual for teachers (like myself) to hold down more than one job, but I was wondering if any other professions have multiple jobs. ANd a giant good luck to everyone out there who are looking for those hard to come by jobs.

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Wow! Bless your heart! I know 4 jobs has to be a lot to carry. My Mom is a 5th grade teacher also. She has her own little side business of creating crafty projects for people. She makes a good bit off of that. I myself am a housewife so am not the best to ask on the job part. I do know how hard it can be to find a good job as I have worked before. I wish everyone who is looking the best of luck in your job search!

I have to applaud you though. I need another job, but I don't have it in me to even work 2, you obviously a stronger person than me.

I teach 5 days a week (LOVE), tutor 2 days a week (I don't mind this job, but I have to drive to get to her house and get stuck in traffic a lot and am doing this job for very little money to help out the family) and then I come home and sell Scentsy (which I love to do) and transcribe technical interviews (I don't love this job, but I feel like it brings in a lot of money). On a side note I think I'm a little bitter that my BF's sister is crashing in our new house (and by crashing I mean has her own bedroom and bathroom but doesn't contribute any money to help out). So Iguess I feel like I'm just working so hard and she is able to live with us, scott-free.

If she's not giving money, she should at least be cooking and cleaning, taking out the trash, mowing the lawn etc.

| That is the biggest issue... I thought "crashing" would be about three months but there seems to be no end in sight bc she doesn't have a job and can't afford to be on her own. The aggravating thing is that her parents live down the street but she just "doesn't want to move back in with them"... I feel like she is acting spoiled and entitled. Sorry, major vent. :'-(

| I work one and maybe a half. I work at a hospital, and I'm also finishing my master's degree. When I'm done with school completely (hurry up, May!), I'd love to work inpatient and also see outpatient clients, like doing contract work for a private practice. A girl can dream, ha. I'd be upset if I was working full-time and doing a lot of other stuff to pay my bills and support the BF's sister. Maybe it's time to sit down and have "the talk" with her.

I don't feel like it's my place to have that talk. I've talked to the bf. I think we are giving her another month and a half to get a job and if she doesn't we are going to ask her to find a more permanant free solution (back with the parents...)

| I am going to school for elementary education! In 2-3 years, I hope to have a decent job, but I know I'll have to work my way up. Luckily, this area is pretty good for teaching jobs. As of now, I started my own dogwalking/petting business (though it's just all me- it's not an LLC or anything yet). So I do that during the day. Am usually finished my day by 2:30pm. I do overnights and weekends a lot of times though too. I help out with both my parents businesses and our nonprofit organization. My mom owns a hair salon, my dad an alarm company, and I basically run the foundation for my little brother (Connor Cares Foundation). I do a lot of the computer stuff which I have always been good at. I used to create websites but haven't actually done that in two years or so. I babysit whenever I can. Basically I do a lot of little side jobs right now, LOL. But my schedule in general is very lax at the moment.

| Man I'd be pissed if I were in your situation. Is bf also working 4 jobs? If not, then I think it IS your place to say. Either that, or make it more difficult for her to live there. Hide the laundry detergent so she has to buy her own and not use yours. Don't cook for her, only for bf and yourself, etc. You've been nice too long. Esp after you telling us her parents live down the street. She's not your kid!

| If it's your house, your money, your life...it's your place to say something when it's not working out. Even if it isn't your sister, she is in your home. I'd at least encourage the BF to say something.

| You are too nice! Why would she try and find a job if she's got a free ride at your place? Now's the time to get a job, holiday help. After the holidays it's going to be even harder for her to get a job.
