| We have very secure servers and firewalls since we are a bank and have internet banking. The gov't requires it. One of the girls at work was on google and went to a religious site and our firewalls stopped the virus, but if it had been a normal home computer our IT tech said it would have been bad. You have to be so careful when you open a link.

| Well, it was late in the day before I got my computer back and things up and running again. Our tech ended up having to do a fresh install which means pretty much, a new computer. She didn't lecture me on on FB, although she did say it's a good place to pick up viruses. Interstingly she did not like seeing Smilebox and Photoscape on my computer and removed those two programs. I also like to use dogpile for a search engine and she told me to STOP! using that. I think they form opinions based on what they've seen, not necessarily because they are bad places. I still feel that it had to be something work related because I use all these same programs at home. I have a different anti virus program at home, but if it's that serious of a virus, I'd think I would be noticing it here too and I am not, not even warnings. It's also possible my computer has some hardware damage that's adding to my problems. So, we'll see how long it goes before it crashes again.

I would stay off FB at work and I agree about not using DOGPILE. I hope you have better luck now.
