Milo was a very serious kind of baby, he's actually quite the little comedian now though.

LV is pretty decent-I used to have a few pieces- but considering they make their goods in several countries it's really dependent as in they have several vendors for even one item in one line.
Princess monster killed my favorite LV belt when she took out my last pair of Nolo's...stinking bitch (LOL well she is) had really expensive leather chews as a puppy!

I'll start my recycling awareness boycott next...I'm like OCD with recycling...reusing I'm pretty darn creative and good, reducing not so much getting there.

Many couture designers now have in place secondary retailers contracted to avoid such incidents of 'loss' as they put it I beleive insurance fraud is also another way of saying it...in all reality it's just poor marketing, having a shortage creates a higher demand and thus a higher profit that's always been a rule of thumb until many couture designers began lower end lines and 'open market' distributions...

So far I've avoided Chinese made unless you count the moral/economic convience break down of a certain drive thru...the toy is of course imported plastic junk.

We really really really want the baby bullet since 'Bubbies' is now 6 months and should be starting food but he'll not until 9 months since he has severe GER anyways alternative suggestions on the baby bullet...the system is so awesome though!

I get a steamer & original magic bullet thought! Ugh!!

Can you find an American-made blender that does the same thing? My blender purees anything you put in it but don't know where it was made. Just had dental surgery and can't eat regular fruit and I just had a pureed orange, hull and all, that pureed in about 15 seconds. Heck of a way to get my Vit C but have to have it so pureed is the next best thing.

Christmas 2011 -- Birth of a New Tradition

As the holidays approach, the giant Asian factories are kicking into high gear to provide Americans with monstrous piles of cheaply produced goods -- merchandise that has been produced at the expense of American labor. This year will be different. This year Americans will give the gift of genuine concern for other Americans. There is no longer an excuse that, at gift giving time, nothing can be found that is produced by American hands. Yes there is!
It's time to think outside the box, people. Who says a gift needs to fit in a shirt box, wrapped in Chinese produced wrapping paper?
Everyone -- yes EVERYONE gets their hair cut. How about gift certificates from your local American hair salon or barber?
Gym membership? It's appropriate for all ages who are thinking about some health improvement.
Who wouldn't appreciate getting their car detailed? Small, American owned detail shops and car washes would love to sell you a gift certificate or a book of gift certificates.
Are you one of those extravagant givers who think nothing of plonking down the Benjamines on a Chinese made flat-screen? Perhaps that grateful gift receiver would like his driveway sealed, or lawn mowed for the summer, or driveway plowed all winter, or games at the local golf course.
There are a bazillion owner-run restaurants -- all offering gift certificates. And, if your intended isn't the fancy eatery sort, what about a half dozen breakfasts at the local breakfast joint. Remember, folks this isn't about big National chains -- this is about supporting your home town Americans with their financial lives on the line to keep their doors open.
How many people couldn't use an oil change for their car, truck or motorcycle, done at a shop run by the American working guy?
Thinking about a heartfelt gift for mom? Mom would LOVE the services of a local cleaning lady for a day.
My computer could use a tune-up, and I KNOW I can find some young guy who is struggling to get his repair business up and running.
OK, you were looking for something more personal. Local crafts people spin their own wool and knit them into scarves. They make jewelry, and pottery and beautiful wooden boxes.
Plan your holiday outings at local, owner operated restaurants and leave your server a nice tip. And, how about going out to see a play or ballet at your hometown theatre.
Musicians need love too, so find a venue showcasing local bands.
Honestly, people, do you REALLY need to buy another ten thousand Chinese lights for the house? When you buy a five dollar string of light, about fifty cents stays in the community. If you have those kinds of bucks to burn, leave the mailman, trash guy or babysitter a nice BIG tip.
You see, Christmas is no longer about draining American pockets so that China can build another glittering city. Christmas is now about caring about US, encouraging American small businesses to keep plugging away to follow their dreams. And, when we care about other Americans, we care about our communities, and the benefits come back to us in ways we couldn't imagine. THIS is the new American Christmas tradition.
Forward this to everyone on your mailing list -- post it to discussion groups -- throw up a post on Craigslist in the Rants and Raves section in your city -- send it to the editor of your local paper and radio stations, and TV news departments. This is a revolution of caring about each other, and isn't that what Christmas is about?

Anyone know any American made blenders steamers, food storage containers that you might be using currently?
The mom's forum I use swears by the baby bullet so hence my issue here the only other suggestion was using the magic bullet

Honestly how sad is this but it's the very reason we buy this STUFF from China I get so many little matching pieces and parts with handy gimmicks-perhaps it's really that simple, the look of NEW, the whole BIG set deal for so cheap and it's all the marketign packaging etc.

For the life of me I will never understand packaging! :
All the ink that's wasted and all the cardboard on the wrapping what a waste! Really 14 pieces of plastic to reinforce cardboard plus 28 twisty ties cardboard that has about 4 ink cartridges worth of graphics on it plus the waste of plastic that is unlabeled as #1 recyclable used to created that lovely window to your soon to be purchased item which is then surrounded by the inner packaging!

I want a world wide movement to ship it all individually and use wooden cargo crates and paper wrapping from sustainable resources I want my item on the shelf with no packaging

I want to buy it for what it is with just a little tag on it that describes the item, tells me what I need to know about the item it's manual whatever, that's all it needs. I'm a super recycler you know how the box of pasta has the little window on it i pullout the plastic wrap window and put it inside a milk jug and then take and flatten the box and put it in the paper recycling (we have curbside here) if it comes with accessories well here's the best toy company out there doing it (this is a local product to me so I'm totally good with advertising positively for them I LOVE GREEN TOYS!!! CHECK THEIR PACKAGING IDEALS

Bummed I broke my no made in china boycott buying my daughter some Juicy junk seriously it's so overpriced for what it is...it's like decent constructed costume jewelry at fair trade prices.

Agro with myself for not being as informed as I'd like to be.

Failed again!

A friend gave me some BabyLegs without the tags on them I was IN LOVE with these!
Perfect for weather in my area, perfect for keeping socks and shoes on and pants from riding up, even better for crawling baby, and great for when staying home and I can slip them on with socks and a onsie and change diapers with ease...

Well I LIKED BabyLegs on facebook, posted some pics in support of them, ordered let's not even say how many of them, and then commented to The Stork's Nest a local baby boutique, "why aren't you carrying BabyLegs?"

The response: Because they are Made in China!

Epic failure!

I need to find a new brand and of course the store is looking too. The seem easy enough to make I hope someone local or at least in America makes some better ones-LoL I'm supporting knock-offs now apparently!

Still having issues with energy efficient light bulbs and batteries-found a few from Pakistan and Taiwan, not sure that's better.

Thinking we really need to get a new charger from Costco and the rechargeable batteries we found there they were made in England.

Found a web site that say they have Made in USA CFL bulbs but it can't be verified still waiting for their response.
