| I love green bean casserole Tastes like green beans with mushrooms. What I won't touch is oyster dressing with cornmeal.

| Well, I hate green beans and I hate anything to do with mushrooms so putting them both together would be a double yuck for me...

| HA! Green bean casserole is what Im making to take to the dinner we are going to! I like it, and that's what they told me to bring,, it easy to make, so I made out! What I dont like is when people put a bunch of Stuff in the stuffing/dressing... I dont want apples of nuts, or raisins... give me the ol' bread, celery and onion kind!

My Grandmother was a WONDERFUL Southern cook who was famous for her fruit cake that was loaded with pecans that she would get from her tree. She would make big batches of them, put them in pretty tins and give them as Christmas gifts. When she made them, she would put all the ingredients in a big bowl and toss them with her hands. Wll, when I was a little girl, I remember my Mom opening the package from her Mother and excitedly slicing the fruit cake. In one of the slices was a bandaid that had come off while Gma was mixing it and it got cooked in with the cake! EEEEWWWWWWW!!!! Haven't touched a fruit cake since!! Oddly enough, it never stopped my Mom from enjoying her favorite holiday treat.

| I have had a total of one fruit cake I liked, but I had enough at two pieces...I think the rum it was dipped in made it yummy. I'm with you on the stuffing, make it simple, one of my friends told me her mother in law put hard boiled eggs in her dressing...yuck...even if I did like eggs...yuck

ok, the first Christmas me and my boyfriend was together, I always made butter cookies from scratch..So, I decided to make him some along with everyone else...I left the dough in the frige to long..so it was to hard to roll, while rolling it I broke a nail and lost it. Make a long story short, I made over 12 dozen cookies, and the nail ended up in his cookies...He won't eat any more of my cookies.
