| Post Irene--Everyone OK? I've been watching the news, and seeing the destruction. I hope and pray that all our YTers are all safe and well. |

| Well in upstate NY we had a lot of flooding problems, major roads still closed due to flooding, homes washed away, power out, ( I just got my power and cable on) bridges washed away, trees down. Big mess and will take a long time for it to get cleared up.

Thor's Human Donating Member | I was in NYC. I had two vacations planned in the next two weeks, one to the Hamptons, and one to Vermont. So yeah, ruined vacations, but nothing more serious than that.

| As Irene approached NH it veered West bringing lots of rain to Vermont, but not so much to NH. My area is fine, we did get some gusts sunday night into Monday morning, BF was awake most of the night he said, sitting on the couch just watching/hearing the wind, he was nervous. Poor guy! I slept through it. Our aftermath is a found cockateil bird! I'll post separately... but I desperately want to find this little guys 'parents' I do not want a pet bird! haha

| We made out well, lost a few pieces of siding, have a little water in the basement and we were without power for 15 hours. The stuff in our freezer was about to defrost so we gave it all to our son who still had power. I was afraid the dogs wouldn't do well but believe it or not they went right out peed and ran back in.

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Hope everyone is ok! Praying for everyone affected! Being in PA, the main part that affected us was an increase in the wind speed and lots of rain. Our power went out once, but only for a few hours. Our lawn furniture didn't fair so well. We had to hunt down one of our chairs at a neighbors house and they are heavier pieces. It affected the hubby's work schedule. He works for the RR and runs trains to Jersey. So he was off for a week. So I'm sure we'll notice Irene's effect on his paycheck in a few weeks!

| The power came back on at around 8pm. This has got to be the most frightening event I have experienced and so grateful that I didn't lose my home. So many others in my area have lost their homes and businesses. Thankfully there has been no loss of life here. |

| I'm glad you have your power back. How sad for those who lost their homes and businesses.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | We are fine here in NJ, we lost power for about 12 hours, and the basement took in 2 inches of water by the time we powered on the back up generator. so we are making sure is not humidity left. hugs, Carmen in nj |
