nothing is more beautiful than to watch the snow falling while inside where it is warm...everyone should see this :) |
LOL I was up at 4:00 AM doing my laundry so it wouldn't put a strain on the electricity later on. I have never done laundry at 4 AM. |
74 this morning here in Harlan KY at 11:14 am but it has stormed all night and morning. |

Its been 90 degrees the last couple of days and it felt cool to me after all the extreme heat. We did beat our record for days 90 degrees or above. It is supposed to be in the 80s this week so its going to be nice |
Yeah its about 2 1/2 away from where I live. |
Friggin HOT! Actually it's only 89 but 80% humidity. I can take the heat - but this humidity is making me limp as a rag doll and is NOT helping my sinuses. Ugh. Thanks for letting me rant and I know some have it a LOT worse. The dogs are only getting walked between 8 and 9 PM. Last night, I didn't walk Lucy at all - but just kept her active inside. |
It is 80 right but its expected to be 95degrees..i'm not sure its gonna make it though it is still very cloudy |
Here in NC it has stayed in the high 90's and low 100's. My family, the dog, and I have all been miserable. We are outdoor folks, but I won't let Khloe or the kids outside for more than 15 minutes at a time. And I'm 8 months pregnant with my first 'summer baby'. Haven't been able to work our garden, and it isn't doing well from the heat. ): I know it could be worse after reading this thread, but it has been soooo hot since the first of June. Excited for fall! |

The temp is not too terrible today (85) but the humidity is terrible! I can't wait for the humidity to GO AWAY! |
My son was a Jan. baby, my daughter was a March baby, so I definitely have a new strong appreciation for all the mommies out there that have carried summertime babies. Khloe told me to tell mother nature to kick in fall a little early this year. (: She loves to chase leaves and spend hours at a time playing outdoors. She also loved the pumpkin guts that the kids threw in the yard from carving pumpkins. ;) Quote:

I think it's been about 38 days of over 100 degrees each day, with no relief in sight for another week. It's been running about 105 to 108 everyday. The city hasn't started putting anyone on a watering schedule. They are asking us to conserve energy, though. There has been mention of shutting grids down for 30 minutes each around town to cut down on consumption. We've been watering the grass, but it is dying anyway because of the heat. Everyone's grass is dying. The sun is soaking up the water in our pool and we have to add everyday. Our caladiums are almost dead from the heat. It's just a mess! The national news said that Texas is in for a drought through next year. Other than this, everything is great! Keep us in your prayers. |
