Donating YT 7000 Club Member | What helps you relax? What do you like to do whenever you're stressed out and you just want to relax? what could you do for hours and never get bored? I could sit by a stream or spring in the middle of the woods forever and never ever get bored. I find water in nature to be one of the most relaxing things in the world. Actually, i find just being in the woods, maybe on a hike, relaxing. I also love riding horses. I feel like i'm flying and i could do it for hours and hours. Its like I feel a connection with the horse that just gives me a whole new outlook on everything. So what do you like to do when you need to relax?

| I like to go window shopping by myself or with my mom, especially if I have had enough of the kids, the house, the husband and the dogs. |

I was thinking the same thing Shana! But since this is Megan's thread I'll be on good behavior Megan, I like to write to relax! It was a dream of mine to publish a book by the time I was 30 but don't think I'm gonna make that deadline I have started about 30 novels and can't seem to finish one but it sure relaxes me to just sit a write (not on the computer either) the old fashioned way with a pencil and a notebook! Who knows, maybe one day I'll be a famous author and thank all my YT friends | |

| I like to take long hot bubble baths with lit candles lining the edges of the bath tub in Peppermint scented bubbles, or Oatmeal and brown sugar. I'm weird I find the smell of Peppermint very relaxing and it's supposed to be a stimuant. I like cuddling with Tigger (He's such a cuddle bunny, Has been since day one. I hope that doesn't change. He's just been neutered) Going for walks, and I could never get bored watching Tigger sleep or play. |

| I do what Jodi does...I go window shopping. That's really fun to me and keeps me busy for a few hours. When I am really stressed, I go to the tennis courts by the river near our house and play. Knocking those balls back and forth is a real stress buster. The only problem is that if Big Daddy is the one I am mad at, I have no partner My best relaxer that I have been doing for years is once a week I go to a restaurant called Republic in Union Square and sit down with a book or whatever I need to do and have my lunch of veggie wontons and spicy chicken Thai curry. I go by myself and forget the phone, the kid, friends, hubby...I just sit and relax and eat my meal. I've been doing it for sooooo long that everyone knows me. One time a waiter just put the food in front of me without even taking my order! For me relaxing is sometimes just sitting with yourself. |

| I read Meggies posts on YT... I also have waaaay too many hobbies for one person so I just pick the closest when I need a break. Dogs, reading, painting, movies,riding,food... And you're right about the water thing Megan, That little pond in my backyard was the first thing I did when I moved in....and it was NOT on the priority list of 'things to do' but I needed to hear the water to be able to deal with the rest of it. |

The sound of water is also really relaxing to me. I have a fish tank and I like to keep the water an inch or so below level so that the sound of the water trickling can be heard throughout the house. Listening to the ocean is so relaxing to me! I often wonder if I could survive if I didn't live near the ocean...

| I love getting in my pj's and reading, listening to music, long walks with Crystal, but if I had to pick the one thing that relaxs me the most it would be driving. If the gas weren't so expensive I could drive for hours and enjoy the scenery or just drive. When we used to go to downtown Cleveland to the football games, I would want to drive in all that traffic and my husband hated it. I also love a good storm at night with lots of rain to lull you to sleep. Good thread Megan.
