| My Just Ducky Lunch Break When I went home for lunch today there were 5 juvenile Mallard ducks in my yard and the kids across the street were trying to coax them over to play in their sprinkler, and the ducks waddled on over. We live close to a community pond that usually has ducks and geese on it, on the edge of town. These babies must have lost their momma because they acted like they didn't know what to do or where to go. These pics might put a smile on your face it was so fun to watch. The screaming and comotion of the kids didn't bother the ducks at all.

| That is just too cool!!! We have geese that nest every year on one of our ponds. I love seeing them fly over the house.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Those pictures are precious. I can't believe how they were so calm. I hope they find their way without their Mom.

| Yeah, it really surprised me at how calm they were. I work across the street from that pond, and I see people feed them but they have always kept their distance while they eat what is tossed to them. These babies, you could actually touch and they came right up to your hand looking for food. I didn't try to pick them up because I didn't want the kids to think they could later. They did make their way back to the pond though. I could tell they are still young because they don't have all their adult feathers yet across their backs. There were no adults leading them. Poor things. The kids were very active, but also very gentle with them.
