Recently there has been video on Nancy Grace - think it's of Caylee's 2nd birthday party...anyway, I've seen TWO yorkies in some video they keep showing.

I watched the questioning of Cindy Anthony yesterday and it was one of the rare times I've had sympathy for her. The prosecutor kept showing pictures of the backyard, playhouse, and Caylee on Grandfather's Day, having Cindy confirm the pictures, as the way things were on June 15, 2008. Despite her enabling and supporting Casey - you can tell just how much she loved little Caylee....she kept breaking down looking at those pictures, remembering her granddaughter.

I have been watching the trial on TV. I missed Cindy anthonys testimony because I didnt realize court would be going on a Saturday. It is interesting. I cant wait untill tomorrow to watch

I think tomorrow should be very interesting especially if Baez gets to cross examine Cindy.. I think he should go VERY EASY on her, Cindy is a broken woman at this point. Cindy is lost between Caseys false reality and the truth. Imagine that poor woman had to sit on the stand for 2 hours and talk about people who never existed yet she talked about them as if they were real. Pathetic that Casey has the ability to even manipulate peoples minds and bring them into "Caseys fantasy world". SICK!!
Mr. Baez should tread very lightly tomorrow, I think we all may be surprised what Cindy may say, I think she is so angry right now, Casey has accused the only people she has left in this world of molestation. And basicly blames Cindy for leaving the ladder on the pool , so its Cindys fault that Caylee is dead!!

According to Lying Casey the father was killed in a car accident before Caylee was ever born. I do believe police have found a local spanish boy who did die in a car accident around that time and Casey did post on the RIP of his Myspace or Facebook, however the family denies that their son ever dated Casey, They did however get DNA from that family and it is in custody somewhere.

On another note, because Casey claims Lee her brother had sex with her, he had to recently have a DNA test to prove that Caylee was not his.

Honesty, I think she put Caley to sleep using the chloroform and locked her in the trunk so she could go out and party hearty with her peers, when she came back from parting, god knows how long later she found poor caley dead, and she panicked.. and the rest is history, I don't understand the accusing the father of abuse or those other allegations by the defense, I honestly think she killed the baby. just my opinion on this so tragic and horrible case..

Does anyone catch WHY Cindy Anthony (the grandmother) feels like Casey was jealous of her? I heard her say that, but the tape ended, and I want to know why she thinks that.

It's supposedly because when Caylee was born, it was Cindy and not Casey that first held Caylee. That and I think bc of the fact that Cindy, was in actuality the primary caregiver, Caylee saw her as "Mom and not Casey. I think I've heard where Caylee even referred to Cindy as Mom.

In typical narcissistic, entitled, spoiled brat fashion, Casey's attitude seemed to be, "I don't want her (Caylee) but I don't want her to want anyone (Cindy) more than me".

Admittedly I haven't read this thread.
I have also not watched the trial.
However, I'm sorry to sound so resolved but she looks (to me) like a pathological liar who cries on cue. If I was on that jury it would take me one second to vote guilty on premeditated murder and I would not budge. I don't care about how f***ed up her family may or may not be. Alleged abuse from her father/brother is not excuse for murder.

Okay, thanks, that makes sense, I didn't even think of that. I was a little worried about the grandma, but now that you explained this, it fits.

I don't understand. It was reported Cindy threatened to take custody away from Casey because she did not think the child was adequately cared for, but yet on the stand Cindy testified she thought Casey was a loving mother. :confused:

I don't see those as mutually exclusive. Look at the examples on YT, people say the "love" the dogs, and I'm sure that they do, but that doesn't mean that the dogs are adequately cared for. I guess a loving mother is different than a "good" mother.

The initial hearings were pro bono, but after the attorneys started dropping out, Baez petitioned the court to set an amount that the state would pay the murderer's defense team (state funded). I don't remember the amount, but it was a large sum.

I think love means that you put someone else's needs above your own, but for many, it just a "feeling."

That's what my mother has/continues to do everyday of her life. I don't understand any other kind but that kind of love.

It must be really difficult to be a part of a legal system where everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty...this is one of those times where if I was a defense attorney I'd turn in my letter of resignation :(

I'm happy that the prosecution played Casey's phone call from jail - I hope it gave the jury a peek into Casey's head. (the one where she didn't ask about Caylee - only wanted her boyfriend's phone#)

I wonder if they'll ever bring up that Casey didn't want the baby in the beginning. She had even spoke of letting a friend adopt the baby - it was Cindy who said "no".

It appears that 'who's paying casey anthony's defense team' is private info, but here's an article where Baez (her attorney) was getting ready to petition the court.

since she was indeed, declared indigent,and I remember baez did petition the state, I can only assume we tax payers are footing the murderer's bill.

Casey is very good about crying (or pretending to) on cue for the benefit of the jury. Notice when the jury is out of the room, she is caught smiling and chatting at times. Even today...after such an emotional testimony from her mother.

I have followed this case closely and have watched or read just about everything relevant that is available. In this trial, she is seen sitting there, looking bereft and lost and sad and down. All an act, in my opinion. In the other courtroom scenes before this actual trial she sits there writing like crazy, acting as if she is an attorney herself...whispering to the attorneys. At those times she sat up straight and smirked or laughed and joked. A totally different Caysee.

Disgusting.

Never heard that one.

I watched today and then studied the previous days news on the web. I think it has been proved that Casey is a BIG liar. I only hope that most of the stuff that the defense is presenting is not true. I'm not sure how it could be. Especially the pool part. If the child did drown, why the duck tape? Is there evidence to support a drowning or just the ladder and open gate? Also...trying to place the timing of borrowing the shovel. How long would the body have been in the car before the day the shovel was borrowed? When did the coroner place the day and time of death? Things don't add up in my head yet on the timing of everything.

I keep praying that Casey will break down and actually tell the truth. The real truth. Take some responsibility....Oh well, I can dream, can't I?

Here's a link to the documents that have been filed. I couldn't find my bookmark for the beginning of this case - but they're there. If anyone has the time to find them - please post. It'll have docs from day one! It'll will have all the police reports and signed statements from all of these people.
