Yes this is true and she got many death threats and some people still believe that she had something to do with the case even though she swears she has never even met Casey Anthony, but many people still don't understand you can't believe a thing that comes out of Casey's mouth.

Anybody see one of the alternate jurors showed his face on the Today show this am backing the decision, saying he agreed. He said Casey is a liar, but her whole family is liars, so who knows who killed Caylee. Lovely:mad: Wonder how much he was paid?

Ppl are saying the rest of the jury is going to wait for a big paid interview by a big name interviewer where they are going to be asked PC questions.

How could they have reviewed all that evidence to make sure they cleared even manslaughter charge in around 10 hrs? Unbelievable! Husband and I were just so depressed last pm over this verdict.

Again, I only hear reasons explaining why she didn't capital punishment...nobody explains why she didn't get child abuse

The thing is everyone lies, it's not that she told the lies, it's what type of lie it was and why she lied. Psychologists say that people who say that they NEVER lie are the biggest liars there are. She lied to her parents about where Casey was for a month, you can listen to the tapes and there is no doubt who is lying, she lied to the police, parents and friends about having a job, that's a huge lie. She lied about what happened to Casey, what does the jury think happened? Do they believe the drowning story? Do they actually believe George Anthony threw his granddaughter in the swamp instead of calling the police, and reporting it?

I'm still so angry and disheartened by our justice system, it seems much less noble then it once did, it's not about seeking truth, but winning.

The whole case is sickening. And to not get your baby help or a proper burial if it's too late, & lie while she's been disposed of God knows where is not even a lie if you ask me. Not just a lie, that makes her many, many more things than a simple liar!

As far as her being able to grieve now, if I lost my child & I was not the cause, I'd STILL be grieving, not just starting! Who doesn't grieve until they know they're butt's in the clear? And I never saw, did they do a psych eval on her? None of that would've lead to a motive? The fact that her child was a burden to her was not a motive? Those 12 jurors & alt. should be very ashamed of themselves!

Yes, I think I forgot to mention he said they were given no motive - unbelievable. Why do some ppl break their children's bones? Why do some ppl sadistically torture and kill ppl? How can you know motives for sure in someone's mind?

The lying part Nancy addressed, Ashton was interviewed this am also and stated prosecutors often see family members "trying to be helpful" to family members who have committed a crime and are involved in a criminal trial. He said what Cindy did was not uncommon in his world of prosecution and he was not sure if she would eventually be charged (not his call).

I find that disgraceful. Just because family members lie more on average, then that makes it okay? I'm sorry I didn't know the law could be applied haphazardly that way!

The National Enquirer (while not considered legit news, they do get a lot correct) is saying that she is telling people she is already pregnant. Heaven forbid.

My dh has been on several juries, in fact he is part of the grand jury right now. He has been sequestered 2 ce. He says the things that the jury does not know is outstanding. I believe on at least 1 case, if he had had access to the info that I saw in the paper, he would have voted differently. He says it is crazy.

I think Casey is guilty but the truth is a jury that didnt have the media bias i influencing them found there was not enough evidence to convict her of murder. The media is encouraging hate, mistrust and bitterness and people arent reasoning. Everyone needs to consider the case from the jurys standpoint. The media is not the jury

Very sad is all I can say. Someone asked what next for the baby murderer. Maybe, she'll have a chance at a contract with Nike. After all they like cons, they just resigned Vick:(

There is media bias can you say without a reasonable doubt that it wasnt an accidental death can you say the prosecution proved the case without a reasonable doubt. I watched it every day and I felt there was reasonable doubt but the jury would convict her because the prosecution did a good job of making you hate her

Since cause of death couldn't be proved, I think the scientific evidence was just a red herring that confused the jury. It also gave the defense easy targets to rebut. IMO the prosecution should have stuck to what could be easily shown...that the child was missing for over a month with no report being made, Casey's behavior during that time and the lies she told the investigators. It wouldn't have proved murder 1, but negligent homicide could have easily been shown.

The jury wasn't taking notes and the prosecution should have seen this. That would have told them to keep it simple. They over-complicated the case and fed right into the defense's hand.

In spite of that, the jury didn't do its job in returning a guilty verdict for negligent homicide or at least a mistrial.

What doubt did they have? Here's the definition:

I just don't understand what "reasonable doubts" they could have. Do they really believe Caylee drowned?

:eek: I am still in shock that she didn't at least get some time for child abuse. I can't imagine a child, or my dogs missing for 31 days before telling anyone. It's just weird that everyone is saying the same thing. I have not heard, "Casey is innocent", the nanny did it !!!!! Everyone knows she did it!! What a mess...

My problem with all of this is that Baez presented an alternate version..that she "drowned"...but if she drowned why was she found with duct tape? That's what I just don't understand!

And how exactly can she not be found guilty of ANY CRIME if she tried hiding a dead body? How is that not punishable???

That's the problem I am having too. How do you drown in a pool and have duct tape on your mouth, etc. I don't understand either.....:confused:

Well I quess if you convict someone because there is a smell in the vehicle or a tiny bit of chloroform in the car that could be from a cleaning agent or you convict her because her behavior just isnt the norm and you hate her for it then there wouldnt be reasonable doubt

Exactly. Also why would it be hidden? Why would her dad hide it, sure they made a case that Casey would hide it, cause she's a liar, but why would the father hide it?

Still so bothered by the verdict. It is what it is, but it is hard to accept because it is not justice for a sweet little girl who had her life taken from her. :(

Here are my predictions:
-The jury will talk when they get paid to do so
-Casey will get millions for her story


Ugh...it all makes me sick. Money, money, money. Is that all they care about???

I don't understand...there are lesser charges she could have gotten...all the prosecution would've had to do is prove that Casey had SOME involvement in her death and given the amount of evidence against her...I'm sorry but here is what I'm having trouble with:

1) She doesn't report her daughter missing for 31 days
2) She LIES about her daughter's whereabouts aka Zanny the Nanny
3) THEN all of a sudden after lying about the whereabouts she says that her father and brother raped her?
4) The child is found six months later with HER BLANKET AND DUCT TAPE?

HOW CAN THIS WOMAN GET OFF WITH ONLY TWO YEARS?!

THAT IS MORE THAN ENOUGH EVIDENCE FOR AGGRAVATED CHILD ABUSE...it is HER RESPONSIBILITY AS A PARENT TO ENSURE THE WELL-BEING OF HER CHILD AND HER CHILD WENT MISSING FOR A MONTH BEFORE SHE EVEN OPENED A WORD ABOUT IT...AND IT WAS HER MOTHER WHO FORCED HER INTO TELLING THE POLICE ABOUT CAYLEE? HOW DOES THAT NOT PROVE NEGLECT?!?!

And I'm really tired of people saying there wasn't enough evidence...juries have convicted on far less.

Loving parents don't throw their kids in a swamp. Caylee's remains were left to bugs and animals. This is an outrage!!!!! NO loving mother or grandfather for that matter would do that. They would give her an HONORABLE burial and put her to rest in a respectful manner.

You don't make an ACCIDENT look like a MURDER....but, guilty people do try to make a murder look like an accident. Which is what she did...and the jury believed her. A known pathological liar....and they believed her.

I am still upset about this.

That's interesting, is that the way you saw the case? Or do you think jurors saw the case that way?
