| Why is that mirror so mean?? My daughter in law had a private party at her favorite store today so I went with her and my daughter to do a little shopping. I've never shopped in that store before...it's trendy and I'm more neutral/classic/jeans style...but I went. I'm trying on a few new styles...I like the colors and now that my hair has become lighter with age a little color is a good thing I'm feeling pretty good...laughing, shopping, bonding with my girls and grand daughters...and then...I stepped in front of that danged triple mirror ...and the party was over! I'm telling you that mirror was mean and it tells it just like it is...no lies, no candy coating...just plain old triple mirror honesty. I don't like that mirror... I'm making my 'diet food' grocery list and heading for the store tomorrow... Danged mirror... |

| Been there done that, someone needs to fix those horrible things. Maybe outlaw them. Oh, well, we have all seen those people who could have used a one before they left the house. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I agree mirrors are not our friend as we add on the birthdays. I am getting to the point I hate to clothes shop and that is just sad. lol

| I think I have run into that same darn mirror! I have also run into a camera or two that are just nasty!!! I also don't understand why diet food has to taste soooo BAD and why as you age your metabolism slows to a virtual halt! |

| Yes, I have run into those cameras too! My daughter in law posted a picture of me and my grandson on facebook...it was his prom night and he looked nice but I looked absolutely awful! I told her 'thank you'...it was a wake-up call for me...now I see how bad I look to others! LOL! Patti...I rarely go clothes shopping anymore...it's more of a chore these days than anything else but today was special and it was kind of fun...until I looked in that darned mirror! |

| I know I'm fairly new here, but from the posts of yours I've read over the past months, I am ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE that mirror and camera lied on you!!! |

| That mean old mirror can inspire, too, though. When you have had enough of what it shows you about you, you start to make some different choices and that old meanie can start become your friend.

| I've had many of those days too. Those darn mirrors ..... I usually end up leaving the store empty handed and mad. I'm beginning to think maybe my house has these mirrors......

OMG!!! How funny. I so, so, so relate! Especially even when you look in the mirror and ask - who is that? You feel the same, but the image is not.

| LMBO!!!!! I remember when I was like 23/24 (and in good shape) I was in a Ralph Lauren POLO outlet store and was trying on this cute shorts/tank/hoodie terry suit. It was so cute and i tried it on and O-M-G... I will never forget the mirror in that fitting room. They almost lost the $90 sale because I saw every lump/bump and imperfection highlighted and zoned in on! UUGGHHHH HATED that mirror!!!
