Of course, YOU and not Kaji are going to take care of the new dog- so you need to want a new dog- but that doesn't mean you can't get another as a playmate for your current pup.

| WELL. I always wanted to have two dogs; it just seemed like so much fun. But the timing was never good. When I had my little maltese - I was young and single and working all the time. Too little time and too little money. He didn't like other dogs much anyway AND my cousin had a little Yorkie he could play with. Flash forward - years later - we had Ringo. He needs LOTS of entertainment. We started in agility - but he started getting snarky with the bigger and male dogs. So I kept thinking I could NEVER have a second dog. Then, I got a job where I worked at home - money was pretty good. My son was growing up and away from me (lightbulb moment!) and I decided that I needed a sweet little yorkie to hug and love and to keep Ringo and I company. The timing was right ~ working from home~ big, fenced yard ~ and kid growing up. And now I have my sweet little Lucy!! FINALLY.

| Oh girl I am with you. I am soooo getting that itch! I have been dogsitting for a 16 week old Boston Terrier/Beagle pup and Jackson has SO much fun playing with him every day. I just know he'd love a buddy. I worry about expenses- I like to spoil Jackson (with collars and harnesses and treats and clothes) doubling that would kind of suck... as I don't want to have to give up doing those things. So I also want my financial situation to be a bit more stable before adding a second. But I'm really thinking within the next year, I will. Jackson will be 3 in October of this year so hopefully before he is 4 we will have added to our pack. My problem now is I cannot decide on breed or pup or adult, lol!

I think I need to decide if I really want another dog and all it entails, or if I'm just taken with all the photos of how cute yorkies look together.

| I have also considered adding dog #2 to our home. Just tonight I was talking about the pros and cons with my hubby. The money, time, etc. doesn't worry me. However, my dh likes to vacation. Finding dog care for 2 would be harder than 1. Taking Copper along is not always an option. One dog is fairly portable, two....well, not sure. But I sure like the idea of Copper having a buddy!
