AMEN to that!

The other thing that absolutely makes my skin CRAWL is the sound of styrofoam objects rubbing together (especially those cheap throwaway ice chests). Ugh! I will almost want to throw myself out of a moving car if I have to share space with that stuff!

Another sound that drives me nuts was that whining/buzzing thing florescent lighting used to make, I guess as it was trying to die or something. It could drive you crazy in about 60 seconds.

The irritating gravelly voice of my co-worker. Ugh!

Doesn't help that she doesn't have anything good to say and she's just plain irritating herself.

Agreed!!!! My most annoying noise is my co-worker constantly tapping his pen. Drives me INSANE.

I second that... especially the work phone, which is constantly ringing. OH and my work phone has this really annoyingly loud beep whenever you have someone on hold or someone is calling while you are on the other line. It is obnoxious.

The worst for me is hearing someone sharpen knives, or scrape a metal utensil on a metal pot or pan. The sound just makes me feel instantly nauseous, I HAVE to get away from it.

Another one is picking at fingernails. My boyfriend picks at his nails when he's watching tv, and it drives me nuts.
