Donating YT 500 Club Member | ![]() It's so interesting to read about everyone and their life experiences. All are so different from each other with a few commonalities and of course our love of yorkies being the most significant. I am one of seven siblings (6 girls, 1 boy), 5 still alive. My brother and I were extremely close being only a year apart in age, we grew up like twins. His death in 1998 at 39 y/o forever changed me and my perspective on life. I started working at 13 y/o for a display company. We designed store display windows, made parade floats, decorated for proms, weddings, corporate parties and made just about any thing else a customer needed us to create. I still and always will enjoy creating things, either with my sewing or in our many garden areas. Been married 30 years to the most wonderful man on earth, IMO. God has been good to me, and found exactly who I needed to make my life here complete. We have two almost perfect sons, Blake (26) and Chris (23). It's endearing to see just how much like their father they have become. Blake is married and Chris is engaged, both to women that I adore. Mitch is my nephew that lived with us for several years after my brother's death. He is a very dear man of 29 and single for now. I've worked many jobs and it was my last job that brought me to Ruby and YT. I worked front desk at a local hotel, a guest one morning had me hold her yorkie boy. Up til then I had never been a "dog person" but there was something about that yorkie that captured my interest and heart. I always wanted to be a SAHM, but could never afford to do so. Shortly after getting Ruby, our situation changed and I was able to quit working. So, although I couldn't be a SAHM mom for our sons, I have been fortunate and grateful to be that for Ruby. Also, this has allowed me the privilege of working with yorkie rescue....my most satisfying work to date♥ I love spicy food, enjoy cooking but hate the clean-up. When no one is home to witness it, I love to sing and dance. There are five seasons in my world.....winter, fall, summer, spring and Sooner Football.

| ![]() I LOVE this thread! ![]() My name is Erin, and I'm a 25 year old stay-at-home mom/nursing student. I've been married to my husband Nic for 6 years, but we've been together for 9 and we have 2 boys who are 4 and 5. He is a lieutenant with our county's fire department. I'm the oldest of 5 siblings and I was homeschooled my entire life, with the exception of 9th grade an my last math class my senior year. My first job was as a southern belle at Cypress Gardens. It's the closest thing to a princess I've ever been. LOL ![]() I am really competitive academically...so much so that I make myself a little ill on test day! I had serious PPD after I had my oldest son, and I've never been so afraid of anything as I was about feeling that way after I had my youngest. I do still battle with bouts of low moods now and then to this day. I bake and decorate cakes as a little side hobby, and even though I'm surrounded by it constantly, I am not in the least bit sick of it. White cake with white buttercream is my vice. That, and a cold glass of reisling. ![]() I found YT while getting ready for Whitney to come home, and I'm SO glad I did! I've used and abused it many times in these last 4 weeks.

| ![]() Thanks Deanna for starting this thread. It's nice to get to know everyone. My turn I guess: My name is Susana and I'm the proud first time furmom to Kaji Casanova Peter Valentino. ![]() I was born, raised, and still live in Los Angeles. Been here all my life. (25 yrs) I'm the middle child, and only girl, and yes, I'm definitely a daddy's girl! ![]() Fortunately, my dad created a safe little bubble in which my brothers and I grew up happy. Don't worry, we don't like in that neighborhood anymore. ![]() I'm very close to my Dad, I love my mom although I think we're too much alike and we clash often. My bros are my best buds. We do A LOT of stuff together. I prefer to go out with them than friends. My dad had us bussed outside of our community for school from the time I was in 3rd grade until I graduated HS. I believe that gamble paid off. I think I'm the only person from my kinder class that graduated from HS. The loves of my life are my dad, Joe my boyfriend of 5 years, Kaji and my little Civic. I've never been a girly girl, but I never imagined I would ever be obsessed with driving. I honestly love it! Even in heavy traffic. Put me behind the wheel of a car (manual please!) with Kaji riding shotgun and I'm a happy camper. My favorite color is black, which is why I wanted a darker colored yorkie. Turns out, he's silvering in his back. Oh well, I adore him anyway.

| ![]() I haven't written about myself yet, but I love this thread. I think it's wonderful that people have come together on this forum and that bonds have been formed that transcend different ages, experiences, and backgrounds. We are richer for sharing our lives, thoughts, ideals, and the like. I am very happy to be learning more about and getting to know people on this forum. |

| ![]() Nope...I'm surprised my daughter hasn't discovered those. She's the one who rescued Zoe and brought her home. Where do you find them?

| ![]() I am really enjoying finding out about other YT members. Thanks for sharing everyone. Well, here goes... My name is Lisa and I am 55 years old. I have had an average, but blessed life. I am a middle child with one older and one younger brother. I was very fortunate to have wonderful parents - now in their 80s and very fragile. So, I spend part of my time helping with their care, house, etc., as needed. I taught Special Education for 27 years in Kentucky and retired 5 years ago. Now I am working part time for a nonprofit group that works with abused and neglected children in the court system. My husband's name is Robert and we are going to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary this summer. He told me I could pick to go anywhere on vacation to celebrate, so I choose a dog friendly condo on Isle of Palm near Charleston. Just thought it would be fun to include the girls too. ![]() We have a daughter (really my stepdaughter but SHHH she hates when I call her that) that is currently deployed in Afghanistan. I am so thankful for Facebook right now, because that seems to be the best way to stay in touch with her. My interests are (of course) dogs and I am addicted to YorkieTalk. I love my girls - Piccolo and Vivi. I also enjoy cooking and eating and have (unfortunately) struggled with my weight my whole life. My passion is dog rescue and I am very proud that I was accepted as a member of Yorkie Haven Rescue in January. My goal is to foster a Yorkie in the near future.

| ![]() I have really enjoyed reading about everyone. This is a great thread!!! My name is Michelle and I am 50 years old. I have been married to my DH Ricky for 31 years. We have two grown boys, Grant who is 30 and married to Lauren and they have given us our only grandchild (so far) Kerra Ann who is 7 and our pride and joy. Our youngest son Brandon is 26 and is currently student teaching and finally getting his degree in History. ![]() We live on Ricky's family's farm which has been in his family since the 1800's. He is a workaholic and we raise beef cattle on the family farm and also have a 100 acre beef cattle farm in the next county over. He also works full time as the plant manager of a concrete plant. I am Head Teller of a community bank in our town. I love sewing, reading and working in the yard and of course spoiling Jada and Bogie and our granddaughter. We both have very busy lives and between the two farms and full time jobs, we stay very busy. Jada and Bogie are our two babies. They filled our empty nest at the perfect time. We love spoiling them and they have brought so much joy to our lives. In our "spare time" ![]() ![]()

| ![]() I had to do this in 2 posts as it kept timing out on me, sorry.... I am a HCA in a local nursing home and have been there for almost 21 yrs. I belong to a dollhouse miniature club, as I have a dollhouse and many roomboxes, I love to stitch, quilt, have done stained glass, ceramics, flowerarranging, knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, paper tolle, and love to just sit at our trailer home on the lake and snuggle with my yorkies! As some of you have read I recently lost the best friendI ever had , Molly, and with the help of many of you wonderful people , I am starting to accept her passing a little easier. It hurts so bad but you all have been there and made it easier to talk about and I want to thank you all so much! Again sorry for 2 posts.. ![]()
