| question for Shark owners I bought a Shark Lift Away Pro-Steam Pocket Mop today. My problem is while mopping, the steam setting light starts blinking and it stops making steam. I can push the button again to get it back on setting but it will work for a minute and then go back to standby setting. Then, I was able to finish the floors with no problems... What am I doing wrong? DH came in and took over and had no problem Am I not holding it upright enough? or moving it too fast? I called the customer service line and got no help what so ever. |

| Have you tried googling "Shark steam problems" or something like that? I find so much help that way. That is all I know as I don't have one yet but I am going to be getting one, that is the reason I clicked on your thread. Hope this is something easily fixed!

| Did it come with a booklet of instructions? If I find mine, I'll come back to this thread! Mine doesn't have any buttons that I know of. Fill it, plug it in, pump the handle then go! Do you have to wait a few minutes for the water to heat up?

| LOL I had to come into this thread because I thought you meant shark, like the swimming kind with the sharp teeth. I forgot about the steam mop!

| I've got the deluxe Pocket Steam mop with all the attachments ( that I never use!), but it doesn't have a standby button. You just plug it in and 30 seconds later, you're good to go. Did you just buy it? Maybe you can return it and get another model. |

| Mine is the Lift Away Model. You can actually take the tank off and use it as a handheld steamer. Once I plug the machine in, the steam setting button flashes blue. You are supposed to push it and choose the level of steam : dust, mop, scrub (this is for the carpet attachment). I can't seem to find anything about it on the internet. I will try the chat, thanks! It finally worked for me last night, so maybe I wasn't letting it heat up long enough.?. |
