YT 2000 Club Member | Bum Knee I have been experiencing pain on the side of my knee for five days. I can not bear weight on my left leg due to the pain. This pain came on suddenly without a fall, however I did twist my leg slightly at the onset of pain. There isn't any redness and only a vry slight amount of swelling. The pain is better at rest. I called my Doctor today and have an appointment in the morning. I understand this is not a place to diagnose just wanted to know if anyone has had a situation like this. Thanks in advance for any input.

| Thats a tough one. There are so many problems that can surface as knee pain. If you are a runner, it could be ITB, i had a bout with that, not fun I am sure your doctor will figure it out, and if it is orthopedic, he will recommend you to a doc who specializes in these things. Sending get well wishes, hope the pain subsides for you.

YT 2000 Club Member | AprilLove, thank you for your response. I guess I am just nervous about it being a torn ligament or torn cartilage.....plus I am really getting frustrated being down. Tomorrow is a new day!

Trust me, I totally understand the frustration of being laid up! but you are right, tomorrow is a new day, and guessing at what it might be before you see the doctor will only drive you crazy more. So I say, (easier said then done) just rest it, elevate it and treat yourself kindly until you see the doctor!

| That's awful! I feel sorry for you having to go through that. We're just getting ready for spring. I hope it heals very soon and isn't serious.

| Oh, ouch! Did he have any idea how long it would take to heal or not sure this would heal it or not? I really do hope you're not down long.
