YT 2000 Club Member | I didn't know what your API procedure was so I googled it....yikes. I am a weiner when it come to going to the dentist. I firmly believe we should get the funny gas in the lobby and then waken gently after we have been medicated effectively for pain. I am praying for you.

I just realized that I have a manicure appointment Tuesday evening that I have to cancel. So now I'm not only going to feel and look like I lost a prize fight, my acrylics will be falling off. Oh, bother! | |

YT 2000 Club Member | Boopster with my first baby they had what they called twilight sleep. They put you to sleep and the next day you woke up and they brought you your baby. With my last two someone decided women should have natural child birth (no epidurals then). Yuck! I think with today's technology procedures, etc. Should be endured without pain. Also, having your acrylics fall off on the day of your API is just adding insult to injury. You will definately need a girls night out or a shopping spree or a day at the spa after you recover.

| If it makes you feel any better to not be alone.... I have an appt for an Implant surgical procedure on weds the 24th. I'm soooo nervous about it, they are actually giving me Valium to take the morning of the surgery. They do not put you under at all and they need to do a 'sinus bump' because the bone is 2mm too short in depth for the whole transplant screw. They will bump my sinus wall with the screw and we'll all pray that it does not tear and let bone graft material into my sinuses. If that does happen I'll have to go to an ENT (after I get a sinus infection because thats the only way I'll know they tore the sinus wall) to get my sinuses cleaned and drained. Oh and I'll have 2 black eyes and probably facial swelling! FUN FUN!!! NOT!

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Yuck! That sounds a lot worse than the API. I had my procedure the is morning. The actual surgery took only about 15 minutes. I was home in under an hour. All I felt were the shots and a little pressure. Dr. Gave me a prescription for Vicodin - I've taken it twice as instructed and been using icepacks. Have a little swelling and achiness but so far not so bad. |
