| Eyebrows Anyone!!! Please! OK I need help here! I'm sooooooooooo glad there's a off topic thread! I have no idea about this so, PLEASE don't laugh. What do you know about eyebrows????? I'm 45 years old, and not a clue!!!!! Our daughter came down stairs today, She's 14 just started High School and SHAVED HER EYEBROWS OFF!!!!! She's in tears!!!!! I took her to get her nails done this morning, and our son needed a haircut too. The two stores are back to back, so I sit in my car and read. He was done first! He looked at me and asked if I saw Elise's eyes. I didn't even notice!!! He said they look funny because she shaved them! OMG I didn't say a word when she got in the car, we had to stop to pick up milk, and I didn't want her in tears. But when we came home, I asked her what did you do! She cried, "I thought I had too much hair, so I shaved them off". Ok I took her to get BANGS, I wanted to see if I could hide the brows. But She has to go to school on Monday! Oh my!!! My husband isn't home yet, but I'm sure he is going to have something to say. With bangs she looks a lot better, but I'm sure the other student's in her class will have something to say. How am I going to help her with this? I really hope someone has a answer, because I have NO clue. I really need help here. Thanks Gina

| This is not a good situation for your girl...my suggestion is keep long bangs until they grow in and then go to sephora or a department store and get an eyebrow kit with stencils and a soft powder. Place the stencil where her brows were and then fill in with the powder. Unfortunately, this is going to be an aesthetically bad time for her until those brows grow back and that can be from 3-6 months. While they are growing in, I would take her to the best salon you have in town and ask someone there to help her groom them while they are growing in. I will look up a good stencil set for you and post a link soon. Please be aware that you will have to help her with this every morning, but it will make it better...Please tell her NEVER to touch those brows again! I feel for you... |

| I have really light eyebrows and use a pencil. Otherwise I look like I don't have any at all. I have a little hair, so I just have to add some color in. In shopping for pencils, I've seen these stencils that are shaped like eyebrows. You put them where you want the eyebrow to be and fill it in with pencil or eyebrow powder and a brush. Would be worth a try... Check out Ulta stores if you have them or check Ulta online, because I've seen them there. Bless her heart, I know how she feels. When I was about her age I tried to trim my own bangs and ended up with a shock of hair sticking out in the middle of my forehead!! I thought it was the end of the world!!

| Try these: http://www.sephora.com/browse/produc...questid=341730 http://www.eyebrowz.com/ I would try to get something so you can help her for school on Monday. If no one sees it to begin with, it might not draw too much attention |

| I feel soo bad for your daugher. But the same thing happened to my friend, and she was in tears also, soo just like the post above me said, just get a eyebrow kit and draw them on everyday, a lot of people that I have seen draw there brows on everyday anyways, so I am sure that it wont be that bad. Just stick with the bangs and the kit, and I am sure that she will get through this.

| I would definitely draw them on. Sorry about your daughter Good idea getting bangs. Let her know that its going to be ok and they're grow back soon. I would get her a nice pair of tweezers for Christmas (not trying to be funny here).

I Love Thor Donating Member | Good luck with your daughter! I agree that drawing them on is the best idea. There are a lot of people that actually keep their brows shaved and draw them on everyday because they can make them look however they want to. She will be just fine. Hannah |

| I would agree with penciling them in......I do know a lot of girls who do that it is worth a try......Go to Walmart and get different pencils and try different ones til she finds ones she likes.... My 17 does that all the time- she only shaves part of them- she never plucks or waxes them.....some day she will do the same thing and have none.... Keep the bangs and do the pencil and pray nobody says anything! Good luck.....

| Thank you so much everyone!!!! I knew I would get some answers. At least I now know there is hope!!! I called my Mary Kay friend, she is going to stop by tomorrow. I did take her for bangs, she was not happy! But I didn't know what to do. This is a first for me. What was she thinking!!!! I now know to keep things out of her room! She has her own bathroom, with just about everything, but now I know she's Not ready for everything. What a day!!!! Elise is one out of the three I adopted, and yes, she has special needs, but I really thought we were on our way to the teen years. I have to tell you, I sure learned a good lesson today. Thanks again for your help.

| My grandma uses a little like powder kit, and IMO it looks more natural than a pencil if there isn't any hair there to follow. It's in a case like eyeshadow, only it has a slanted applicator. I think it might be in a red case...I would just try to draw it on lightly, and I suggest getting up earlier just to make sure you get them even, lol. Good luck!

| Oh my, Ok we have bangs, I did get 4 pencils, I had no idea, so I got them all. I tried really hard this morning, but well it looked really bad. So I'm waiting for a friend to stop by. I had to play with my Grandson this morning so she is coming over later. I just hope she looks OK at school. I told her NEVER to do this again! I was told it's going to take about two months to grow back. It's going to be a long two months! Thank's for all your help. I'm too old for all this teenage drama! LOL Thanks again, Your All The Best!

| My eyebrows too are like Sheri Lynn's. So thin and light colored. I have to use a pencil, or you would think I had shaved them off. Won't be long and her eyebrows will have grown back before she even notices it.
