My brother (engineer) says a smart car isn't so smart. It lacks a crumple zone, and in the event of an impact the design looks like it could easily topple over. Granted he hasn't actually studied the design of that car. He could be very wrong.

I'm dreading pumping gas tonight. I don't know what the prices are going to look like.

stations here are 3.55 for regular. What gets me is it is always higher here even before all of these. We have an oil refinery not 15 miles from my home and we pay these prices. Tell us we are pay for FRESHNESS lmao

20 miles west of us we sometimes can buy it for .20 cheaper on the dollar, but I don't know about this week's prices

My Xterra takes $almost $70 to fill up and gets only about 250 miles PER TANK

I get about 220 miles per tank. Cut me some slack, I use to only have to spend $20, I don't usually have to spend this much. It's not my fault I choose a 4 cyl.

Just filled my half full tank the other day.....price for unleaded in los angeles county... 3.89 gal

cost me for a half tank what used to be a full tank......

$3.55 in Lake Wales...cost me $60 to fill up my Jeep.

If it keeps up like this through the summer, I might not be able to afford to drive the 30 mins one-way to school next semester. I will be so upset with the situation if I have to quit school because of gas prices. Talk about being disgruntled!

OUCH! That would hurt. I thought my BF was crazy when he drove 40 miles each way with a V8 Mustang. I don't know how he did that for a year. It must be so hard on the wallet.

My car doesn't get great gas mileage. :/ I don't know how people commute these days! It must take up half their salary just to get TO work! It's scary to think how thin we are already stretched as a country, and how much longer this can go on before it crumbles.

This is the reason that I take the bus...too much money to spend on gas when I can just take the free school shuttle. It's scary though to see how much the gas increases week by week. My bf complains about it a lot since he does all the driving.

My car just sits and relaxes in the garage. haha
