Someone keyed my car!!

I don't think it was kids because they were all in school. The doctor has a small parking lot with limited spaces. I'm thinking that the neighbors don't want anyone to park in front of their houses anymore.
I have to go back today with my 12yr old for his regular visit. Now I'm afraid to park on the block (which is probably what they want). I am seriously thinking of sitting in my car way down the road with a video camera and just watching. Oh yeah I would have felt real sorry for that person if I would have caught them in the act. If it was someone in one of those houses... watch out... they have to sleep sometime

My husband looked at it when he got home from work and he said it wasn't too bad and he could probably buff the scratches out. We will see.

There are a lot of kids that skip school, and they're usually the type to get into that kind of thing. Plus it was during lunch hour, so high school kids can sometimes be released to go off school grounds to get lunch. I doubt that people living on the street would really care that people park in the street during buisness hours on a weekday. If you were parking in their driveway I can see them getting upset about it, but on the road, unless you are blocking something I can't see them getting too upset.
Honestly, people are just plain rude these days. They don't care about what doesn't affect them directly. The $300 it'll take to fix your doors isn't coming out of their paycheck, so why not give you a bad day...ugh, it makes me sick. Someone busted the drivers side mirror off my door, and just kept on driving. That was a fun surprise.

Yes, I hate people too now!! When I first got my car, within 3 days, there was a dent...Someone hit and ran off! I was so pissed! People are rude these days and I wish there's so way we can track them down...

If it is only a dent, and the paint was not scratched off, a firm like Dent Busters can get that dent out and you will never tell it was there. I have used them for years. Costs about $60-85 a dent.....They go by different names....usually your carl dealship has a guy they use to get their used cars looking good.

yeah, that's a big deductible for comp. I'm more comfortable with $250 on my comprehensive and $500 on my collision coverage. DH is correct, it will rust so you do need to fix it. Drats!

My brother in law had someone carve a nice big curse word in his beautiful truck one night at a football game. Mean people suck.
I hope you are able to get it fixed w/o breaking the bank. Also, I don't know about your insurance, but you may be better off not claiming it if it will increase your premiums and just paying out of pocket.

That is true sometimes for a Collision claim, but not Comprehensive. It is the same as hail damage or a rock in the windshield. No charge or surcharge. Last thing you want is a few chargable accidents, where they are your fault.

I have my son who is 21 on my insurance and my daughter who is 19. We pay a hefty price as it is. My 16 yr old should have her license before the year is up
It still kills me to see the scratch, but it's just a car. My husband will try to fix it when it gets a little warmer here. If he can't then whatever I'm not losing sleep over it. I just would love to get my hands on whoever did it. No worries though they will get theirs someday. I believe in karma!!

Wow! Never knew that it would be that cheap...I thought it would be 400...so I never tried to do anything about it. It was my first cut...and the first cut was the deepest

I hate people who do things like this, makes me so angry! why ruin people's property? people work hard for what they have and it takes a horrible person to ruin that for someone.
My friend went through a similar thing last year. There are no drive ways to any of the houses on her street so everyone parks on the road outside their house, there are usually around 20 odd cars parked in the street at one time. Some moron went down the street and smashed the drivers side window on every single car in that street, what sort of people do things like this? idiots!
