Snow.. snow and more snow!!!!
 

Anyone kept up with the weather reports in New England? We had a storm 2 weeks ago that dumped 2+ feet of snow, since then we've had 3 storms that have dumped anywhere from 8 inches to a foot. So we currently have about 3 feet of snow and HUGE snow banks that town DPWs and private companies are having shipped out to make room on the roads. We have 6+ foot snow banks. We have been buried. But to make matters worse, the temperature has not gotten into the 30s in 2 weeks so nothing is melting! This is really posing a problem.
This morning we had a dusting to an inch, ok, no problem.... it took me 2.5 hours to get to work this morning. Traffic was HORRIBLE everywhere!!! I mean it was soooooo bad I saw or heard of more than 6 accidents in my commute path. This is for a DUSTING of snow!!! Ive driven in 3x this year in snow that was anywhere between 8 inches to a foot and had better commutes every time!
So now they are saying we are getting possibly another foot of snow by thurs morning's commute and another 6 inches for saturday! AARRGGGG Anyone feel like flying me and my 2 boys out somewhere where there is no snow???? The poor dogs are crossing their legs and whining because they have to pee and do not want to go out in -17 degree weather!!! YEP, thats right.... -17 sunday night and -5 last night!!! Yesterday it hit 8 degrees for a high!!! Its only jan and I am already soooooo sick of winter this year!!! Funny thing is, we've gotten all this snow in the last 2 weeks... before that we had hardly nothing at all! Not even a white Christmas!

I'm sick of the snow too!!! It's snowing right now but there's just a little dusting on the sidewalk. We've had the frigid temperatures too. I've had it. I can't wait for Spring!! Stay warm, stay well!

Awww, I'm sorry you are unhappy about the snow -- wish you could send it south -- I LOVE SNOW!

I'm in CT and last night they said Dusting to 2 inches . . .ummmm yeah, NOT . . .lol Still snowing . . .roads are horrible . . .and they are now calling for a LARGE storm tomorrow night into Thursday . . .8 - 12 inches . . . We are so ready for Spring! Not sure I'll see the grass again til at least May . . .

Ahhh no kidding! I had to actually dig trenches in my yard so the dogs could go out - and that was after digging the snow away from the door so we could open it. Yesterday was finally a nice dry day, but we had wind chills of -20! It looks like there's no end in sight ... ah, where are you Spring? :rolleyes:

Im sorry your having so much snow. I really dont like the snow at all and cant wait untill spring. We have consistently had it about every week starting in December so Im ready for it to be done for this year.

I am also ready for Spring!!!! At least our water table should be in good shape for 2011...But this white stuff can go...we will all have to trade vehicles because our frames will rust out from all of the salt and not being able to get thru car washes because of the frigid temps...guess that will help our ecomomy..huh!!! lol

I am sick of snow too! But I have to say, after hovering around -40 for a week, it was very nice to be around -20 C (around -5 F) last week :D I was outside without my jacket even zipped up!

It'll be another few months until spring here :( Usually the snow will be gone by the end of April.

I think we'll have snow banks into June at this rate! LOL

Linz, I cannot imagine those temps at all! I am ok until it hits the teens and is windy... no matter how sunny it is those days are brutal!!! Sunday was 14 and sunny but it was windy and I was miserable. I could not seem to warm up from the inside at all. Usually i am always hot too!
I would not mind the snow so much if I could either work from home or it came on weekends.

I'm freezing. :cold smilMy bones hurt :cold smil. At least our snowblower is fixed, it had gum problems last week or something.

I hate cold too, but freezing cold doesn't bother me as much as just mildly cold. If it's a breezy summer day I can't stop shivering! It's funny how we acclimatize though, because in the spring when temperatures are just above freezing, I can be outside having snowball fights in a t-shirt :)

I am in NYC and we have had snow on the ground since 12/26.:eek: The temps are barely out of the 20's everyday (yesterday it was 17 at noon) and they are predicting this huge storm Wednesday into Thursday.I see via the news what is going on in the New England States and it is just unbelievable. It has been flurrying today since 7.30 this morning!
I cannot wait for the spring.

I see on the news how much y'all are getting! It's nuts!

We haven't had anything this year though. :( I like snow days where I get to stay home.

Besides having to drive to work, I think the worst part is seeing the look in Brody's eyes especially as he looks at all the snow and says '"now where am I supposed to pee?" :p

Sounds like Maryland last year! I love the snow, in the amounts that we've been getting it THIS year.... lol. Last year was a bit much. I remember it being storm after storm after storm and every stormed dumped a LOT! We had 3 declared blizzards. This year, thus far, has been fairly mild... we've had quite a bit of snow storms but most are really small and don't stick around long. Jackson loves the snow, and I don't mind it either, but I'm sooo ready for spring!

I am so sick of the snow; of looking outside and seeing still the roads and sidwalks covered in snow. Now it's ugly snow too - gray, dirty, slushy.

And poor Ringo; he needs his Walk!

I'll stop whining because it's 32 degrees. My family moved to Texas when I was in the seventh grade. I had been out of school for a week due to snow, I don't miss the snow at all. We get a few flurries where I live but nothing like what y'll have been getting. I don't think I could stay warm enough.

Just started snowing in CT . . .gonna be a long day/night . . .ugh :rolleyes: I think just for ha ha's during my lunch today I'm going to the grocery store just to buy creamer for my coffee and maybe a cake or something to bake for later . . .:p

Don't forget the bread and milk ;) ... and you may want to take your camera with you to catch all the crazies running around looking for ice melt and shovels :D
... um, if you don't have one by now - I'd say forget it! :p Another possible foot of snow coming for us tonight into tomorrow.

Just went outside for break and OMG its like a little blizzard out there . . .they said this wasn't supposed to start til 5pm . . .Wow, they can't even get that right? :confused: :p

Thanks for the warning!! I guess I'd better start looking out my windows 'cause it's coming this way! They said late afternoon/early evening for us.

Come on down to Florida its 70 right now over cast cause we got a huge storm last night but should be clear and sunny by tomorrow and in the mid 70's...its lovely :p

I need to hit lotto and move some place warm. I am so damn sick of this snow. It's making it one hell of a time potty training the kids dogs. At least my baby runs out quick and does her thing.

Chris I feel so bad for you with having to drive to work in that snow. Thank god we have the transit system here. I just need to get a jetson like tube to beam me there. I hate driving my sentra in this weather. '

We have snow piled up ever dang where. Last week some eejit hit my car parked on the street. The lease is up in May so I have to get it fixed before then. Nice. They could have at least left me a note that said sorry.

i am sick of the snow too. Minnie and Tootsie are pooch pad trained but Peyton isnt used to that so she wants to go outside, she's such a good girl, she holds it until i can clear her an area.

I have made the path several times to a potty spot. Bubbles get a bit turned off by it sometimes. I guess she likes constant fresh spots...lol. If the going gets tough she will ignore the pee pads for the puppies and sneak off to the throw rug in the bathroom or by the backdoor. What can I do..can't be mad at her. When you gotta go you gotta go. Now the new pups. Kobi will go outside..he loves anywhere and every where but the pee pads. Magic on the other hand loves him a pee pad and will consistently go there, going outside is an issue with him. I swear this weather is horrible on us all.:(

its been doing the very wet heavy snow all day since 7 this morning here in downtown manhattan. Just went out to get lunch and it is a slippery mess. Later on today we are going to get hit with all snow 6-8 inches. I feel so bad for my Rocco althought he is pad trained he loves to go for his walks to the park but with this weather it is either to cold, wet, snowy, or icy... If we do go out it is for like 5 minutes so now I sit by the living room window with him and he watches the birds. Mind you I live on the 9th floor so i cant even open the window but he is a trooper he just watches and waits till spring like his mom!!!! It can't come quick enough for us!!

I am soooo ready for spring. We just now got a couple of mild days, and only 2 good snowfalls, but chilly chilly chilly. I'm just now warming up.

Sunday morning it was -30 deg out.
