i am very jeoulous of that 70 degree weather. its snowing here, we're supposed to get another 8 to 10 inches by morning and we've had so much already :( |
Woke up and just started to laugh . . .Seriously . . .all we can do now is just laugh . . .there is so much more snow out there . . .it's amazing . . .totally amazing . . .don't think it will ever end! |
I know right...if you don't laugh you will cry! I am really all set with the snow though. I have had quite enough. We are off from school again...and just heading out to shovel...yippeeee!:D |
I work at a school as clerical and they even gave us a free snow day . . .we usually have to report unless we take a vacation or personal day . . .crazy, right? |
Another clear, crisp, sunny, blue sky day in NYC. Oh yeah and the 19 inches of snow we got overnight makes all the more beautiful!! Is it 52 more days till spring????:) |
I got lucky... we only got about 4-5 inches last night! It was an ok commute in this morning also. I have only NOT driven in 1x this year, and that was 2 weeks ago when we got the storm that dumped 2+ feet. ANNNDDDD.... we were told to be in by noon or take a vacation day... but at noon the snow was coming down the worst and I am almost 40 miles away! So I had to surrender a vacation day! GGGRRRRRR My boss is a face-time dictator! Which means although I have ALLLL the means to work from home, I'm only allowed to do it when they need me to, never when I can't make it in. Now THAT is ridiculous! I am hoping this will be my last winter dealing with this crap.... I need a shorter commute or a company that allows me to work from home on snow days! |
:snowman4: We got another foot of snow. just got in from doing my driveway and front and back walk and deck. it is very tiring. i hope this is it! there just is no room for anymore :snowman2: |
I think the worst part is not being able to see entering/exiting a street and the piles on either side of my driveway aren't any better . . .It gets me worried that someone is just going to pull out and get hit . . .I really feel street corners should be plowed up and over the sidewalk so that drivers can see . . . |
Ok... seriously???? For real!!!!!! 20-25 inches starting tomorrow morning, then taking a short break tuesday night and barreling back in weds morn - thurs morn! WTH!!!!! I'm soooooo sick of snnnooowwwwwwww!!!!! Actually Im more sick of having to drive my 40 mile commute each way in it!!! That makes for a VERY Long time in the car! That I'm quite tired of! |
we're going to get more snow here too :( |
It's 21 degrees here in Dallas and ice pellets are falling, later we will have snow.....The sand trucks are all out trying to keep the roads clean. Lot's of people from out of town to go to the Super Bowl....Most hotels are booked... |
Everything is bigger in TX, but we fet more snow! LOL Got a few inches last night, a few more up till 3 pm kicks in, and then we have a Blizzard warning until 3 PM tomorrow, wed. Computerized programs are calling from 24-30 inches. I sure hope it is less, but supposed to also get 50 MPH winds, and that will make it brutal with whiteout conditions and drifting. The Dogs have food, I have coffee, Marge has work! |

I think you might have been hit by the storm we are getting ready for. Saturday it was 69 degrees and has slowly gotten colder. Today we are waiting for the ice which is going to turn to snow they are saying. Oh wait, Daddy just called, ice has arrived. Hopefully it will move out quickly!! One good note, I am a teacher and we have us another snow day. Rosie loves it when I have snow days. She spends the day all curled up in my lap. I think she prayed for snow last night!! ;) |

Marge was planning on flying to Dallas tomorrow thru Thursday. Just heard that DFW was shut down for a while, and you know O'Hare will be at a standstill from this afternoon into tomorrow night. Doubt if things do not get back to order until the weekend if we get as much as they say. |

Yep, until we have to go to school until July to make all these days up! |
Ok, I'm saying that this will be the last storm of this Winter . . . It's gotta start warming up soon . .we had no January thaw this year . . .and I have about a 6 foot mountain of snow in my backyard from all the storms and what came off the roof . . . Can't wait to see how long that takes to melt . . .:p |
I think we are going to have 5 feet of snow on the ground in general areas and 10 feet where people plow it and snow blow it! There is an 80 foot high pile down the street from my work where the town has been trucking snow to move it out. 80 feet high!!!! Thats a lot of snow!!! The nation is taking a hit this year for sure! |
I also live in Connecticut and I'm so sick of this snow. The snow banks are so high and there is no room for any more of this white stuff. Yesterday my son jut left the house and was driving down our road (winding country road) when a car comes out of a side street. The 7 foot snow bank blocked her vision and she didn't see my son's car and just pulled out. Luckily no one was hurt but his Passant didn't fare too well. I'm pretty sure it's totaled along with the car he hit. Thank God for airbags! |
And now we have snow! I don't know how all of you handle having so much. We get one inch in Arkansas and EVERYTHING shuts down! :D If we were to get over 6 inches we wouldn't know what to do!!! |

We are getting between 6 and 21 inches tonight (apparently they are a little fuzzy on the exact amount and the meteorologists can't come to a general consensus.). I do not it cold and I do not like it wet. And some colleges here do not care about safety. If they can clean the parking lots, then class is on. :( |

Beamer says Rosie needs to move to Florida:) |

Ha ha! True! Arkansas weather is so unpredictable. Rosie and mom get awful scared of the tornadoes here! You all have hurricanes, right? Do you get the snow and tornadoes? |
14" expected here. no work and the state is in a state of emergency i got a WORK SNOW DAY how about that??? it's bad, blizzard conditions and really cold and snowy. |
Just got word that Fedex is shutting down their Indianapolis Hub tonight, no flights are going out. Dallas/FTW got no deliveries today. Tomorrow will be the same. I have never seen it like this before. |
Yeah, this is a pretty awful Winter . . .even the Blizzard of 78 cannot compare to these storms that are coming week after week . . .Fortunately we are going to get a lull soon . . .I will go out and snow blow . . .I took today off and DH went to work. I'm pretty concerned about the round 2 they are talking about with the ice . . .this Summer BETTER be awesome to make up for all of this . . .DH has 5 1/2 more years until he can retire . . .Florida is looking pretty awesome right about now . . .ask me again in about 5 years though . . . :p |
