| Any recs on a good rug/carpet steamer? I'm looking to buy a rug cleaner/steamer because I have several large rugs throughout the house, wondering if anyone knows of a good steaming machine that isn't to big in size. Thanks!

| Bissell Proheat is excellent. I have a Bissell Spot Bot for quick cleanups. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Good question Darlene - I've been looking to get one as well, but hate to spend the money and be disappointed.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I've had a Bissel Pro heat and an older Hoover. I preferred the circular cleaning bristles on the Hoover, they just seemed to do a better job than the rotary type brush on the tougher stains. That being said, the heater on the Bissel seemed to do a better overall job. I just bought a new Bissel Pro Heat for my mom at BJ's. She's pleased with it. If Hoover would come out with a heated version or Bissel would change brush styles, then they would have the perfect machine, IMO.

| I bought a Bissel which was highly recommended a while back and Patrick used it once ... it was very disappointing. We now just schedule Stanley Steamer and they do a wonderful job and are very reasonable. We have Berber carpet which has been down for years and each time it looks like it did the day it was installed.

| I use the Hoover Steam Vac with the scrub bushes too. I love it. I had the Bissell pro but really liked the Hoover better. I also use the mean green for smaller areas. Although it says not to add/use anything but thier product to clean with I have used the odor ban added to the detergent. |
