| I am a coupon junkie. I used to work at a supermarket and saw what people were saving and was in amazement. There were people who were saving up 50% of there reciepts! The most that I have saved in one transaction was something like $38.00 and wound up spending about $50.00, I was really proud of myself. I have supposedly saved more, but that was when the supermarket had meats on sale...not clipping coupons. I have all the reward cards from all the stores and make sure that hubby uses our phone # on purchases. I wish I could do it like they show on tv where people pay $17.00 for $100.00 worth of groceries. That would be so cool. I guess on average I save at least 15% on my bill using coupons.

Now if you combine their sales with the manufacturer coupons you get good deals. Like if 8 pack rolls of bounty are on sale for say 9.99 you can find a coupon in the paper or on line for 2 bucks then you get it for 7.99. I know those coupon people probably do better but what I just described is not bad either so look for the manufacturer coupons and combine them with the sales. Another trick for me is I usually buy only things that are on sale, unless I really need something that isn't.

| I'd really like to be able to print and find coupons but I never know where to find them. Most of the sites I seem to go to seem to want money or want to install some stupid toolbar onto my browser for it to work. And when I use google to search for specific ones, I always find the expired ones. Maybe some one can give me some pointers? I'd really like to start saving money on groceries. I feel like I spend so much for just 2 people.

it's just unbelievable. I know Costco is pretty good for saving, but the problem is you buy so much in bulk it is hard to fit it when you get home ![]() This site is totally free and you can print them Coupons, Grocery Coupons, Printable Coupons, Restaurant Coupons, Coupon Codes Good Luck

| I would love to do this too......When your monthly grocery bill exceeds your mortgage payment that is just wrong..... ![]() Every time I watch one of those coupon people say they get their groceries for almost nothing I've always wanted to ask them ...... How are you getting items like meat and produce???...... ![]() I rarely see a coupon for produce and I never see any for meat(other than sausage, bacon and bologna) I typically see coupons for prepackaged convenience foods which I try to use sparingly. I also wanted to ask if they factor in the price they paid for the coupons and the postage into their *savings* rather than just looking at the store receipt. I saw one woman mention she paid $70 for some coupons, was that figured in??....

They don't do it often but I take advantage when they do. They also have coupons for produce sometimes but they are their own coupons they put out not the kind you find in the paper etc.

Yes I wanted to crawl off and die, I just walked away and finished my shopping. I am usually not at a loss for words but I was that time. I never wanted to shop there again for fear I'd see her. She will never know how much her actions did NOT help me to lose weight or feel better about myself.

| I use to get the sunday paper just for the coupons. It was great! I was able to get shampoo, hair dye for my mom, cereal, and many things for my first aid kit. It was awesome!!! I loved it because I would be able to match the manufacturers coupon with the sales at Ralph's. They even showed you the savings in the paper and many things were under a dollar. The most I saved was $60 and only spent $30-$50 each visit. They stopped coordinating the savings, so my mom stopped caring. I was doing all the work, but she decided to stop getting the paper. I'm going to try this again especially since I want to be on my own and house my little brother while he finishes his BS. Saving money will be my #1 priority!

I don't buy a lot of prepared foods either, but there are tons of coupons for the basics out there. I've also had to learn that just because I had a coupon for it, didn't mean it was something I had to buy. I figure that as long as the TOTAL cost of my groceries are coming down, I'm coming out ahead.

| I am a coupon queen!!!!!!! I never shop without a coupon!! Walmart price matches any of our local store ads. So I come weekly with my list and my stack of coupons. The checkers cringe at the sight of me coming. My basket always takes longer than most. LOL Sue |

I am housing my little brother right now while he is in school. Little brothers are the best. I used to be much better at couponing, but have been slacking off lately. The most I have ever saved was about half of my grocery bill (spending about $45, saving about $45). Maybe this thread will inspire me to start clipping coupons again. I have just gotten lazy!

| I am not good at using coupons for grocery shopping at all! I never really use any. I am pretty good about finding coupon codes when I shop online, or using store coupons when I go clothes shopping though. I have been thinking about trying to be better about grocery coupons though- maybe I will give it a try!
