| I wonder how much he would want a dog and show he had changed if the judge had really hit him in the pocket book and ruled he could never play pro ball again. Sorry, I just don't trust him. Forgive him, if he is really sincere, yes, but trust has to be earned. |

| I wasn't going to post again, but I just want to bring one thing up. He said that he thinks owning a dog will help with his rehabilitation, but would we give a pedaphile a child to watch to help with their rehabilitation? I mean they paid their debt to society to right? Where do we draw the line in giving a second chance because they paid their debt to society. Our judicial system is too lenient. I opened a new papers today and a cop was shot and spent two months in the hospital while the shooter was walking around out on bail. |

| At first when I heard that Michael wanted a dog I was shocked, then I began thinking about it. I in no way condone what he did, it was a horrible act that needed to be punished, it has been, but he will live the rest of his life with it and it will follow him where ever he goes. Michael was raised with dog fighting, it was a way of life where he grew up. It's hard for us to understand people living like that but there are many things we don't understand that are also ways of life in other cultures. I can state an opinion but I can not judge, it's not my place. Michael will be judged by a much higher power then any of us. My feeling is that his daughters should not have to pay for what he did. He faced his punishment, I don't think even Michael would want to have to explain any further actions to them. He knows he would lose every thing including his family. My heart aches for the dogs involved in what he did, no animals should have to suffer the kind of life and death that was forced on them. It may be a good face that he carries for people to see but it also may be that he has changed. I don't think there are any of us out there that don't have something someome would judge us for. |

| I think he would be a model owner now because he would be watched so closely. But NO NO NO! He did the crime. Now he needs to serve his no dog time. I agree with the judge that he doesn't need to own another dog and that shouldn't be lifted. There is no reason why he would need another dog. His kids will be fine without. They are free get dogs of their own someday. He may care now...conveniently after getting caught, but imo that doesn't matter. This level of cruelty to animals is beyond serious. He should continue to volunteer and pour some of his fortune into rescues. He used the dogs before for his own gain and now what does he want. He wants another one because it will make his rehabilitation easier. IMO, he blew it and besides to lessen his punishment doesn't do much to keep other animal abusers from doing what he did. I'm very happy a judge was tough on this.
