Nikki's Mom(Carol) passed away today

I received a call tonight from Carol's daughter to let me know that Carol passed away today. I was deeply saddened and surprised to hear as we had just visited her and she was doing better. I am so thankful that we were able to see her last week and she got her Taco Bell she was craving. Thanks for all your kind comments on my Nikki and Carol posts. I will really miss seeing her and her smile when she would see Nikki coming through the door. RIP dear Carol.

I'm so sorry to hear she is no longer with us. She will be missed by all that enjoyed the pictures. RIP Carol.

I'm so sorry to read this. I'm so glad she was able to see the one bright light in her life - little Nikki - and enjoy some of her favorite food. You really added a lot of happiness to her life in the home and made it easier for her. Thank you for that, Patti. You are one very special person.

My heart is saddened by the news. I can see how much she and Nikki loved each other and the joy they brought to each other. You are a wonderful, caring person to have done all you did for Carol. I'm sure you brightened her day in the nursing home and she had something to look forward to. Rest in peace, Carol.....Nikki has a good home until you can be with her again.

I'm very sorry to hear that. You made it easier for her - knowing that her little dog is getting the care she could no longer provide and a loving home.

How very sad to hear that Carol has passed away. The pictures that you have shared of Carol and Nikki were always so sweet. It is very good to know that Nikki has a great home with you until he meets his mommy again. You are a wonderful person and have a huge heart. Thank you for being such a wonderful friend to Carol and making sure that Nikki will be well taken care of until they meet again. :hug:

Seeing this thread made me very sad... I always love to see your posts about Nikki getting to see Carol, and you can see the obvious love she had for him. If only everyone loved their pups like she loved hers :(

Just know that you made it possible for her to see Nikki and that you are an amazing person for that :)

Oh Patti, I'm so sorry. Thank you for being Carol's angel here, as well as her friend. I'm sure it gave her a lot of comfort to know that Nikki was so well cared for and I know it brought her lots of joy when the two of you visited.

I am so sorry, Patti! I was shocked when you told me the news this evening. I feel as if there has been a great injustice to Carol with her life sustaining meds being taken away. Carol was so blessed to have you. Although she had children of her own, she was so alone until you came into her life. Bless your heart for all the love you showed Carol and Nikki. I send heartfelt sympathy to you, dear friend. *HUG*

Just also want to say how heartwarming it has been to hear about how you took care of Nikki and visited with Carol. So glad they were able to see each other last week and even have Taco Bell. Bless you for all your kindnesses....

OMG! I am shocked! She looked so good and had such an appetite in your last post. My heart breaks for you , Nikki, and dearest Carol. RIP dear sweet Carol, and thank you Patti for letting us have her in our lives, through your visits and posts. I always looked forward to hearing about her and Nikki. She will be missed, and remembered as a loving, caring, and kind Yorkie Mommie. Hugs to you and Nikki, and God bless you!

My thoughts and prayers are with Nikki, you and Carol\'s family. Patti, she was so blessed to have you in her life and so is Nikki.

I am very happy she got her fabulous Taco Bell Mexican Pizza last week and some cuddle time with Nikki.

Patti, you are such a special person to come into Carol\'s life and make a difference for her and Nikki. There are some very special people here on earth and you are one of them. I don\'t know you but have been touched by your kindness to Carol. If the world were filled by people like you what a wonderful world it would be. God bless you. I\'m so sorry to hear this! My deepest condolences to you and Carol\'s family. Many of us here had become very fond of Carol through your stories and pictures.
