Oh, I am so sorry to hear this! At least you let her see her baby and visit often. You are an awesome person, and such a bright light in this ladys life. Sending prayers and good wishes.

I didn't have the pleasure of "meeting" Carol. But would like to extend my condolences to her family, and to you, who took such good care of Nikki and visited Carol with Nikki. I am sure her days were brighter for your visits.

I know you brought such joy to Carol these last months. I'm glad she was able to have her taco bell and visit with her little Nikki. Bless you for taking the time to take Nikki for visits.

Even though I did not know Carol, my heart hurts. You always made me feel as though I did through your posts and pictures. Carol was blessed to have you in her life and know that you will take care of Nikki for the rest of her life! God Bless You! Carol and her family and You are in my prayers!

We will keep Carol's friends and family in our prayers. Thank you for sharing their story with us. I loved seeing all the pictures but especially enjoyed the ones where they were looking into each others eyes. The love there was evident! Carol was very lucky to have found such a caring person to not only take in her baby but to go above and beyond so she could continue to see Nikki when she was no longer able to care for him personally.

Thanks for sharing Carol with us, she was a special lady. May she rest in peace knowing her little Nikki is well taken care of... I'll miss your post of them together.

I am so sorry that Carol passed. It brings me great joy to know that during her last days, she was able to see Nikki and know that she was loved not only by humans, but him as well.

Please remember to let Nikki greave too. I know that this will be hard on him from the look in his eyes into hers.

My condolences to Carol's family and also to you and Nikki. My Mom passed away last April. She loved the therapy dogs that came to visit her and showed everyone their picture. The visits meant so much to her. I can only imagine how very precious and important your visits with her own baby Nikki were to Carol. I was so moved by the look of total love on both of their faces. You did such a great act of kindness in Carol's last days so that she knew her Nikki was cared for and mostly allowing her to still feel the love and joy from her own little one. Bless you for that.

Thanks so much for the kind and comforting words. Carol and I had a special bond even though we only met 15 months ago. I have been having a very hard time dealing with her passing. One of the last things she said to me Sunday on the phone was -You do know how much it means to me that Nikki is with you and I love you baby girl (she always called me that) and she said give Nikki a big hug and one for yourself. Thanks again for embracing Carol and Nikki.

I'm very sorry to hear that. It was so nice of you to visit and take Nikki with you. I'm sure that made Carol's day. You having Nikki also gave her great peace of mind.

Oh my, how very sad. I am so sorry to hear of Carol's passing; the pictures of she & Nikki show such of loving bond between them. It is wonderful that you are there to comfort Nikki and I am sure having Nikki will give you some comfort too. Sending prayers to you and the family.

When I saw this post...the first thing i said was NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! I felt like we all knew Carol through your posts Patti. It's comforting knowing she got to see her little furbaby and you before her passing. I will definitely miss the nikki and carol posts...they always made me smile.

My prayers are with you and carol's family and especially nikki. :( She will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry to hear this! What a surprise - especiailly after your last visit, she seemed to be doing better. You have to know how important you were to Carol, and just how thankful she was that you were there for her and Nikki.

Thanks. Her kids really abandoned her and Nikki was her life. She was doing better but for some reason, unknown to me, her daughter put her in Hospice and they took her off her heart meds 2 weeks ago.

I am so sorry Patti, it was so wonderful how you brought Nikki to visit Carol, I enjoyed the photos you shared on YT, I\'m sure the vists brought so much comfort and joy to Carol and that is a beautiful thing. Rest in peace Carol.

I also feel we came to know Carol & love her through your posts & pics of her & Nikki. She\'ll be missed by us here even though we never "knew" her. Please do give Nikki extra lovins from all of us.

Oh Patti, I\'m so sorry to hear of Carol\'s passing. I will miss the posts and updates on her recovery and the wonderful interaction between her and Nikki. Again, bless you for what you did. You made Carol\'s last days full of love and what more can a person ask?

i am very sorry about your friend. i am sure it meant the world to her that nikki is with you now. i can\'t imagine how i would feel if i was sick and i didn\'t know who was going to care for my furbabies.
