| No sew pillow question! I made Louis a no sew pillow, and I was just wondering if you are suppose to be able to see the stuffing in between the knots? It's not coming out of the pillow, you can just see the stuffing in between the gaps in each knot. The pillow turned out really cute, I will have to post pics as soon as I figure out how to! Louis loves it.

YT Graphic Artist Donating Member | You do not normally see the stuffing between the ties - maybe it just wasn't tied tight enough? As long as the stuffing isn't coming out, I wouldn't worry about it.

| Yes that is correct. You should not see the stuffing. I also agree that maybe it wasn't tied tight enough.

| One more question, do you tie it in a double knot?

YT Graphic Artist Donating Member | I don't - I just tie them like I tie my shoes.

| I just made one of these too and I did the same thing. I didn't tie them tight enough. NExt thing I know, my dogs have stuffing in their mouths and I'm going crazy trying to get it out thinking they might choke on it. I tied mine in knots.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I do. But I've also found that even with double knots, some of the stuffing will come out if you try to wash the pillow. I prefer to use pillow forms to avoid that. Since you've already used stuffing, you could make your own pillow form by sewing a simple square (out of muslin, cotton, an old pillow case or what ever you have on hand) and putting the stuffing in that, then putting the fleece over that.

| Okay, so I double knotted and it looked horrible. It was way too tight. It bunched up and looked like a basket. So anyways, I googled how to tie it, and I found out if you tie it the way you tie a balloon, it looks perfect! (Kinda loop it into itself, if that makes sense.) If someone tells me how to post pics, I will post what it looks like! Thanks everyone for your help.

Here's a thought, maybe you could go between each knot, where the top and bottom fabrics meet and it simply tack the two together with matching thread. Just an idea.
